Travel Unscripted

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089DJ2C2/
Nationally recognized travel expert and television correspondent Mark
Murphy chronicles the dicey, humorous, sometimes bizarre and always
entertaining experiences he encounters in far-flung locales when he's
not on camera. This highly entertaining multimedia travelogue, complete
with exclusive, unpublished video outtakes, focuses Murphy's witty and
perceptive lens on the culture of traveling, revealing unforgettable
characters and global humanity in all its quirkiness –– from a predatory
Cougar Grandma in Germany to a wiseguy shakedown on a picturesque Greek
island, serious partying in Ho Chi Minh City, sampling shocking edibles
in Cambodia and much more.

Living With the Dead: Year One (Books 1-2, Bonus Material)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PYDSJC/
Living With the Dead is a serialized story of everyday life at the
beginning of and during the zombie apocalypse. Its original format was
and is an almost daily blog.
Told in the author's own voice,
LWtD is the story of a group of survivors in central Kentucky, working
to stay alive amid the violence and chaos of a crumbling civilization.
Faced with threats and challenges that tax their endurance and force
them to make terrible choices, the story follows the survivors day to
day.
From the viewpoint of one man and his friends, the answer
to the question of what people will become when the rules no longer
apply begins to emerge. For some, it is violent conflict.
For
others who only want to live in peace, this is a journey toward
understanding that in a world of the dead, the only choice is to truly
live.

Books 3 and 4 are also currently free.

A Mile in Their Shoes: Conversations With Veterans of World War II

http://www.amazon.com/Mile-Their-Shoes-Conversations-ebook/dp/B0045OUMTQ/

Aaron Elson has been recording the stories of World War 2 veterans for
more than 20 years. In this collection he presents a dozen compelling
interviews. They include a conversation with five 101st Airborne
Division veterans of the siege of Bastogne, a 90th Infantry Division
Medal of Honor recipient, two 82nd Airborne veterans of D-Day and the
Battle of the Bulge, a survivor of the pre-D-Day disaster at Slapton
Sands, and a father who was in World War II and his son who served in
Vietnam.

Game to the Last - The 11th Australian Infantry Battalion at Gallipoli

The book follows the battalion members as they leave their homes and
lives in Western Australia, embark for overseas service, experience the
excitement and boredom of arid and exotic Egypt, and undergo their
baptism of fire in the first wave of the Australian and New Zealand
landings at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915. Game To the Last casts its net
wide to find and tell these men’s stories and is the culmination of many
years’research. Author James Hurst has visited the men’s training
grounds and battlefields, homes and graves. Many previously unpublished
personal accounts provide the heart of the narrative, while extensive
research provides context and colour. This is a story about sons,
brothers, husbands who became soldiers in a bloody war on foreign soil.
Their experiences are documented and retold with admiration and respect,
and remind the reader of the human face of war.

Red Zone Baghdad, My War in Iraq

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NGAES4/

When Colonel Marcus Fielding returned home from his tour of duty in
Baghdad, a taxi driver asked him what it was like being a soldier there.
Marcus, an experienced veteran, found himself speechless – how could he
properly explain to a civilian the nature of his work and his life
during his tour? He mouthed a few platitudes but felt frustrated: he had
not done justice to his experience or to his fellow soldiers still in
Iraq.
This book is the result of that frustration, and it
provides fascinating insights into the conditions on the ground in a
theatre of war that more than 20,000 Australian men and women have
served.

DANG! I wasnt' in time to get any of these books for free.

that www.pixelofink.com website will usually let you know when books are below .99c or free.

though it only posts books that are rated 4 stars or better so you do end up with a bunch of girly books.

Yeah, that's nice.  I've been following Kindle Author on facebook, but it kind of dumps everything, so you get a lot of crap to filter through.  I'll follow this one as well.

My Kindle Touch is filling up with books to read!  Now, if I A) Had more time to read and B) Didn't read at a snail's pace, I could get through them as fast as I add them!

The Division of the Damned

The Division of the Damned
by Richard Rhys Jones
(free for a limited time)

It was a master stroke to redress the balance of the war.

What if the Third Reich could own the night?

What if they had a Division of Vampires?

And if those Vampires didn’t stop?

If they had plans to conquer the whole world?

Even Heinrich Himmler hadn’t thought of that.

But in Transylvania someone had.

And on the Winter Solstice of 1944, the world would be at their mercy.

Free for a limited time. Price may change. Always check current price before downloading.
