Eric was a long time member of this site, serving as staff for a few years. He spent a lot of time on the site, and as he told me it got him through a lot of difficult times in his life. |

Eric stood by me and looked out for me in my early days here on AFRCOM.
He was a good man, one of the best, hardly week goes by when I don't think about him and his beloved dogs. I'm not ashamed to say I cried when I heard about his death. Rest in Peace Eric. |

Eric went through many difficult times during the last few years of his life. It was an honor to be his friend and to help him during those hard times. He was always quick to find a smile and enjoyed being a part of the site.

Eric was a staunch supporter and defender of the APBT breed. I hope there are dogs in heaven for Eric to look after.

He was one of the few guys who I talked to on the phone with some frequency. Mostly before he ventured to Las Vegas.
We always talked about meeting up since he really didn't live that far from me in Indiana. We never did though. We sort of lost touch after he moved to Nevada, but he was absolutely a very mild mannered guy who was absolutely serious about championing the fight against breed specific legislation against Pit Bulls. I actually own a Catahoula Bulldog this very day because he educated me on the various breeds of Bulls and the truth behind the hype. I was shocked for days when I learned of his accident. May he rest in peace. |

Several years ago I was attacked by a pit bull and when Eric hear about it, he called to make sure that I was okay. He was very worried that I would come to hate the breed. While they are not my favorite, I do appreciate his love for them and was touched by his call.

He was a fine Texas gentleman. I could listen to him talk for hours, and alot of us in 04 did. Wish I had a time machine.

Yes he was. I remember asking him some questions about Pit Bulls and talking about one that I had owned. A great guy too soon gone

Eric was a guy who had his problems with life, I could see it as only someone who has walked the same road. I don't know of the things that haunted him and caused turmoil in his life. He was a good man that is missed around here, like they all are.

I can't believe that I didn't hear about this last year.
When My daughter got bit by a pit bull mix last month, many accused me of hating the breed, which wasn't true. I remember Eric's many posts about his PB's and his avatar. I always wondered what happened to him. Rest in Peace Eric. |

Has anyone stayed in touch with this family at all? I was wondering how Eric's son and daughter are doing....its been almost 20 years.
