Should go good with the Decatone, once I lug the beefy bastard into the basement.  I've just played my 6505+ combo through it, and I dig it.

The Gretsch Clarophone banjo uke is the oldest at about 100 years old.  The others were all purchased or built in the last 45 years.

Bad ass. Be been thinking of spraying my strat field drab and camo mesh it.

All musical instruments are welcome in this forum. It just Seems guitar oriented because most of us play them. But it's all good.

I made the mountain dulcimers.  Rebuilt the banjo uke.  had to put on a new head, bridge tuners and strings.  The hammer dulcimer is the newest.  Built in September.  Just had it since Saturday.

For the effects I use the Boss set up most of the time.  Still not entirely sold on the TC NOVA system.  Tuner on the NOVA system sucks big time.  

I bought the exact same guitar for $125 NIB from eBay a few years ago. Overall it's a good guitar for the money, and a great platform for modification. Mine looked exactly like yours did, but I've modified the hell out of it.

Guitars
1. Oscar Schmidt Delta King OE-30 (by Washburn)




Replaced all stock hardware with Grover locking tuners, Switchcraft switch/output jack, Bourns audio pots, vintage 1958 Sprague “Bumble Bee” PIO tone caps, Gretsch strap/switch knobs, Fender Telecaster control knobs, Seymour Duncan pickups, Wilkinson locking roller bridge, Gibson bridge/tail piece screws and anchors (so I could use standard thread/size screws needed for the Towner kit & Wilkinson bridge.)

Added a Bigsby B3 tremolo, Towner tension roller. The Towner system is nice for replacing a stop tail piece, but the floating roller doesn’t roll, causing the Bigsby to go out of tune rather severely, so I modified the tension roller with a Brick's Biggs Fix sealed bearing tension roller for B7 tremolo/super squishy spring and used some 3/32 x 15/64 o-rings to mount/isolate the Brick’s tension roller to the Towner tension bars.

Created a vintage Washburn logo and refinished headstock:




2. Epiphone Wildkat (2006 Limited Edition)




Replaced all stock hardware with Grover locking tuners, Switchcraft switch/output jack, Bourns audio pots for master volume/neck volume, Bourns push/pull audio pots for master tone with a pair of vintage Sprague “Orange Drop” tone caps for darker (more high frequency) roll-off in the down/push position and a brighter roll-off in the up/pull position. The bridge pickup volume pot, when in the down/push position the pickups are in hum-cancelling mode when the selector is in the middle position and in the up/pull position the pickups are out of phase for that “Red Special” sound when the selector is in the middle position. Gretsch “arrow” control knobs & strap/switch knobs, Lindy Fralin custom wound dog-ear P-90 pickups, Wilkinson locking roller bridge.

Modified the stock Bigsby B70 tremolo with Brick's Biggs Fix sealed bearing tension roller & super squishy spring. The main problem with the Wildkat Bigsby was the break angle between the tension roller and the bridge was too steep. The Brick's solution not only adds sealed bearings to the roller for smooth operation, but raises the tension roller, thereby reducing the break angle and allowing the Bigsby to stay in tune extremely well.

4. Fender Stratocaster, American Standard




Added Seymour Duncan pickups, Mallory tone caps, Wilkinson Tremolo/bridge, Fender locking tuners.

Amplifiers
1. Line 6 Spider Valve 112 by Bogner. Decent modeling tube amp (I got it cheap).


2. Fender Super-Sonic 22 with pedalboard


FX routing:

The pedal board also has the foot controls for the amp; when the “effects” switch is pressed, the HA-400 headphone amp is engaged in the pre-amp stage, disengaging the amp speaker.

*The AW-3 uses an FV-500H as the expression pedal.
**The FV-500L is inserted in the chain after the dirty loop to ensure that it does not effect gain, just volume. Gain is controlled at the guitar and at the GE-7 which is also acting as a signal boost.
***The RC-3 uses the FS-5U as a non-latching switch

Just arrived today 2007 Gibson Les Paul Studio with P90s.  I was looking for one with P90s and found this one that looks like new.  Plays and sounds great. Looking at all the great amps and pedals in this thread I don't think I will post my old junk.

Got two new guitars this spring. In May I got a Baby Taylor acoustic which is fun to play and has surprisingly good bark for such a small guitar. (I wanted a Martin Dreadnaught but the action was so high it was painful to play).
A couple of weeks ago my order from guitar center came in. New MIM Fender Delux Edition FSR Telecaster in butterscotch blonde, with ash body and maple neck. Love the twang, learning some Luther Perkins leads on it now.

Since that picture was taken I have built one more mountain dulcimer.(no pic yet) and bought a Les Paul



MY grandson wants to steal it from me.  (He already has the Epiphone)

Here are a few of mine.
I've "accidentally" starting building a little recording area at my bar area.
In the pic is an EVH 5150 amp and cab, and an Orange Dark Terror (fun little thing).
A couple of JBL monitors.

The guitars are a custom made Carvin CT6, and a USA Tele. What's not shown is a Les Paul Standard and an EVH Wolfgang.

I'm just now getting into recording, and singing. Don't know why it's taken so long.

I also have to say that my playing has been absolutely reinvigorated by playing that Ubisoft video game Rocksmith!!!!! Love that game! It's been a good way to stretch musically, and play things I'd never have considered otherwise.

Starting back up after years away from my hobby.  Couldn't pass up the $99 Mitchell special at GC over Memorial Day for a guitar to travel with me (frequently) and the 15% off on pedal and amp.  I really can't find anything to bitch about with this guitar. Neck is average for a $300-$500 guitar, pickups are surprisingly bright and sound great when tapped (both tapped with one switch). GT-1 is a great travel rig, fits in a small laptop case with cables.

I play it once a day.
Tons of character ,but really needs a fret job.
They are groved bad from 1st to 6th frets.
Got the capo thst came with it as well.
With light gauge earth wood ernie bell strings ots got a nice mellow low end and bright top.
Unlike the dred its a boomer.
Nevk is a dam C grip to hold. But easy now that im used to it.
Body size is just perfect imho...amd is really pushing my "wants" when shopping.
Sad part is i cant find much info on them at all.
But its been played a shit ton.

Used to have a natural LP and a couple of other guitars, but have gotten down to these three.  My Taylor 114CE, the Washburn semi hollow body electric that was my brothers, and his daughter gave it to me after he passed away, and my 99 Fender Am. Standard hardtail Strat.  I used to have a 100 watt Fender RocPro hybrid solid state amp but now only have the little Fender GDec which is better for apartment playing.

Ditched the Blackstar and the Mitchell and now playing....

Being a mechanic stock is never good enough so I've made a couple changes. Ordered some Sperzel tuning machines, a new 3 ply pick guard and a new jack/plate.

I have a dozen guitars but this one is my absolute favorite. It’s a 2018 Gibson Les Paul Traditional with a honey burst finish, burstbucker pickups, Orange Drop caps, and nickel plated hardware.

I've been wanting a guitar with another string for a long time

This is an old bug box mandolin. It’s a Maurer new model and is around 100 years old or better. It’s been in my family for at least 60 or 70 years. It’s been in my possession for about 30-35 of those years.

Next up is the first real guitar I ever owned. It was given to me when I was probably 9 or 10 years old. It belonged to my great uncle and is a 1957 Harmony H-1214 Archtone.

The glue on the body and neck all gave way a while back so I had it completely restored.

This is my 1963 Gibson Les Paul jr. It’s an SG body and was the last year before it was renamed the SG. In fact Les pulled his name from Gibson’s use for several years over the SG body bearing his name.

This one was given to me by my Uncle when I was 16, so that would have been 1991. It was in poor condition when I got it. It had a head stock crack repair that was probably done by him using a brad nail to hold it in place. The finish had been redone in walnut and coated with a hard table too clear coat. The original pickup and bridge were lost to the ages, and replaced with a “Badass” tailpiece and some random old DiMarzio humbucker with a trim ring barely fitting over the original routing.  Also a couple inlays were missing and the fretboard was worn from playing.

A few years back I had it restored by a professional Luther. The missing pieces were replaced with proper 1960’s original hardware other than the P90 pickup. An original is pretty pricy so I opted for a Seymour Duncan Antiquity P90. The headstock crack was also re-repaired the proper way, and nitrocellulose lacquer was used for the finish.

The replacement inlays were hand cut from shells by the Luther also. I wish I had a before photo as it was in pretty poor shape. I opted not to have it aged and settled on allowing it to age as I play it.

Anyway, my Uncle John died several years back but was one of the best guitar players and singers I’ve ever met, at least to me. Also my grandfather made the table it’s laying on in the first photo.

That's a great looking restoration. A lot of you guys have incredible collections. I'm trying to catch up.

Next is my first real Gibson Les Paul that I ever bought. I’ve had a Cort Les Paul clone and an Epiphone Les Paul Classic clear coat birds eye maple in the past but this was my first Gibson other than my ‘63 jr. It began its life as a 2014 LPM with a tobacco rim burst. The finish was soooo thin and dull that once I put a huge scratch in it I decided to refinish it myself.

I paid $850 used for it and that was probably even too much but it’s all I had at the time. Now it’s one of my best playing and sounding guitars. I even did a “fake binding” scrape around the body had a truss rod cover made for it that’s a play on the word Studio.

ETA: I used Stewmac tobacco, amber, and clear Nitrocellulose Lacquer to do the finish. All of the plastic was updated to cream with real Gibson parts except for the knobs I believe. If I recall correctly those were AllParts knobs.

Another one of my favorite guitars has always been the telecaster. I absolutely love the sound of them.

This is my MIM Fender Telecaster in Lake Placid Blue. I have since replaced the bridge assembly with a Fender vintage 3 saddle bridge.

I’m still not sure if I’m going to leave it as is or if I’m going to change some other things about it yet. Of course I did have to get a tweed case for it because anything else would have been pure sacrilege.
