Finally all my guitars in one place...

Soon to get rid of 1-2 of the Dean's and the Epiphone SG and get a P90 loaded SG and maybe a tele if I can find a cheap one in surf or seafoam green.

Here is my relaxation.  I'm playing a 1989 Gibson SG Custom Elite through a 1974 Fender Super Reverb that has been "blackfaced".  She's 45 watts of pure tube pleasure and really starts to grind all by herself with the vol around 6.5.  I wish the pics were a tad better so sry.

I recently picked this up off CL for a decent price.  65 Twin Reverb RI

Wife and kiddos are away for a few days, so I've basically been making all kinds of noise and getting random things done.  I decided to re-string all my guitars.  Lined them up for a shot afterwards.

Consolidating the snare collection to reflect my current state of playing.  Since I'm mostly just recording these days, I wanted 2 excellent snares for recording (versatile, sound great in any situation, recordable character, etc.), one wood and one metal.

I already have a DW Collector's VLT Maple snare to match my kit, so that is great for the wood one.  Sold a couple other snares I wasn't using to buy this one...DW Nickel over Brass 14" X 6.5" snare.  BTW, one of the snares I sold (Sonor Danny Carey model) turned out to be discontinued and somewhat rare and I made a killing on it, so I also could afford to have a custom prototype china cymbal made for me (still off in Turkey getting hammered out...can't wait.)

Now that I have my base for recording, I can start gradually adding wierd shit to grow the collection again...the problem was, I had a lot of wierd shit but not a base of great snares ideally suited for recording.

I need a better picture, but this was just after I bought the Amp.

Ampeg SVT-4 Pro
Ampeg 8x10 cab
German made Warwick Corvette $$

The damn thing is a monster, and you can get any tone you want, the only thing that I have left to add is a DarkGlass Electronics B7K pedal to it and then it's golden.

They are super-solid guys that run that place.  I learn more shit about speakers and PA equipment from Mike than I do from trolling the web for hours.

Edit : BTW, I've played that guitars countless times, and only narrowly chose the Sensei RT over it.  Very cool guitar.  Reverend remains my favorite guitar company currently.

I'm thinking about changing the EMGs out for either a set of Duncan Distortions or Black Winters.

And my 7 that's at the tech getting new pickups put in it.

Awesome!

I've been playing sax on and off since middle school.  Been on a long break and I'm looking for a nice tenor to get back into it.
