Yep.   I don't have a good radio voice and I don't like airports, so I stay off by myself.

Give it time and I'll be flying myself

Working.

Not working. You get kinda pasty flying nights for 3 months straight.

Don't get me wrong, I love what I fly now, but hell...flying a Kiowa would have been something.

The Kiowa was a blast. It just needed twice the power.

I took a F-15E pilot on an orientation flight when we were operating out of Balad. Our normal flight profile scared the shit out of him.

Roger that but learning power management during normal peace time ops made it a non issue during deployments.
We used to fly max gas with as much ammo as we could take for a recon mission and max ammo with as much gas as we could hold if we were going to poke someone in the eye.

This is my Great Aunt. She worked a dairy farm with my Great Uncle for about 45 years.  All of the cousins in my family would spend time there over the summers.  The plane is a BC-12 that they flew off of the farm.  They created many wonderful memories for several generations.  Tomorrow, January 12, I will be driving 200 miles in a snow storm to see her, because it will be her 100th birthday!  Happy Birthday, Aunt Joyce!

I'm not sure.  They both learned to fly in 1961, so that's probably when that picture was taken.

Here's me and my brother, a while back.

I got to take a ride in this today. Best $90 I've spent in quite some time. I couldn't quite swing the $400 for a ride in the B-25 though.

Everything will beat a Stinson home! Had mine for 19 years, wouldn't trade her for anything.
I do want to do the observer windows some day. I just found a 337 for putting plexi in the ceiling...planning on that one too.

I wouldn't bet on that.  With the bush gear and tundra tires usually cruise at 75mph,  80 if I push it hard. Before the change to bush gear and tundra tires it would cruise 85.

I concede the point! My son's first flight was in a Kitfox.

I just brought my new mistress home last week. Guess the Skybolt will have to find a new home.

SNS-7 Hiperbipe, fully aerobatic, inverted fuel and oil and cruises around 160 mph true.
