I know I am.....   but I'm ok with chasing what some call dreams.    I also just completely changed careers at 40  because I wasn't happy.

Just out of pure coincidence;  I'm both un-rich and ok with only an occasional rental.

I'm renting out of KTUS which is nice since it is a 10 minute drive.

I see a few fellow scout or ex-scout pilots. Maybe some I've flown with in Crusader Troop.
I have also since retired. The last is my new whip.

The level of automation on this thing is ridiculous. it's not just ATOL, it's auto-flight.

So it's finally joining the 21st century?

There are days I miss flying unmanned birds...not many though.

Simcom even created a mailer with my old plane from the internet - that's me on the right side.

I find it ironic that a "training" facility photoshops a picture of a Beechjet in landing configuration into one taking off.

Hey, your Piper has the same colors and similar scheme as mine lol.  The three gold stripes thing must have been pretty popular at one time.

I'm up to 20.5 hours in the logbook, did my first mountain cross country up to Flagstaff (rented a 172).  Getting closer......

Last flight in this rig a few weeks ago, at least on active duty anyways... pretty charmed last nine years with plenty of flying and blasting and commanding and doing stupid things that my mother will never know about. Headed to Atlanta and toying with the staying guard... any of you boys know anyone in the GA guard or SC guard, shoot me an email or a PM? thanks!

My Part 103 HyTek Hurricane I owned when I was stationed in SOCAL.  Was a blast to fly.  When I get more settled back here in Texas I want to get another Part 103 and build a small air strip for it on my property.  When I had it I was storing it and fly out of Nichols Field in San Diego.
