Boswell pipes are all handmade/custom so no model etc. they’re all different.

They post the new pipes every Monday night online at 7:30 pm EST.

I’ll post my 2nd pipe later tonight when I get a bowl lit.

Whenever we go camping, I tend to smoke my pipe from sun up to sun down. Knowing how hard that is on a pipe, and not wanting to ruin either my Peterson or Boswell, I stopped a local shop today and bought the above pipe. It’s a bulldog made by Piazzolla in France, and I have to say, for $40 it is absolutely fantastic!

It’s Christmas Eve Day and 61’ out. I break this tobacco out only for special occasions. It’s a McClelland blend I’ve had since 2015. It’s amazing and I haven’t been able to find any current tobacco that tastes/smells similar.

Smoking it in my custom Boswell pipe on the deck.

What an experience.

I loved this tobacco.  It was one of the first tins I bought when I started 15 years ago.

The hazelnut flavor is delicious.

@Tweek

Very intrigued by ur post. It’s ironic since I just received my first ounce of Colonial Pastime from Milan Tobacconists yesterday. I’m going to smoke my first bowl today. These two tobaccos seem to be similar as “english aromatics ”. I’ll be putting an order in for the Hunting Creek today.

Here’s the intel on Colonial Pastime …. Milan Tobacconists

Colonial Pastime (Aromatic) Pipe Tobacco
Burleys, Virginias, Black Cavendish and a touch of Latakia come together in perfect harmony to create this very unique mild- to medium-bodied blend. Subtleties of wild berries, rum, and hickory with a sweet spice on the finish remind us of days gone by when our forefathers cultivated and cured fine pipe tobaccos. The smoking qualities of Colonial Pastime are similar to that of an English pipe tobacco, but with the room note of an aromatic.

The description sounds very much like what I'm smoking. I'll be interested in hearing the comparison once you've smoked both.

McClelland Christmas Cheer 2012 that I've had jarred for 10 years.  It's mellowed over the decade...the juicy Virginias are tangy and sweet.

Smoking in my new Auenland Eron pipe.

I don't smoke much at all but I do like to break it out from time to time.  I got a refill for my coventry jar this Christmas, will smoke some in this pipe.  I don't know much about pipes, this is some sort of sherlock thing, marked 221b Baker Street.

My dad's small collection of pipes in the background.

Every week I try to have a bowl of Penzance in this Ser Jacopo Picta Van Gogh I use exclusively for it.  No matter what else I smoke during the week previously, every time I have my weekly bowl of Penzance, it's still my favorite.

Received Dark Holler today from Country Squire.  This is their renamed "Mirkwood" (License conflicts with LOTR).

It''s a good aromatic..vanilla, coconut, almond, dark chocolate...it's got more character than your typical aromatic.

Smoked it in a Vauen Auenland LOTR theme pipe watching the rain come down today.

Nice, I saw on Pipesmokersden!  That's me there.

I tried Watch City Cigar's The Churchwarden today from the sampler...it's pretty good.  The cigar leaf definitely adds some robustness to that balkan blend.

Autumn Evening in a MM Devil cob.

Picked up a tin of Gaslight, HH Pure Virginia, and Cult Blood Red moon today at my local brick and mortar.

Also got a package from Country Squire a few days ago that contained 2 ounces of Parsons Blend, Cherokee, and River Boat Gambler (aka Rivendale I think).

Jarred all of it and added it to the cellar.

Just pulled out some Autumn Evening after seeing your post, kind of forgot I had it.

I recall not caring for it much when I first tried it, but today, after sitting for over a year, I'm enjoying it very much. That actually happens frequently with me, I'll try a new blend and think "meh", then revisit it after some time and discover I like it.

I just discovered Capstan Blue original, I've smoked a tin in a week already.  I just bought 20 more tins.

I've been a Balkan/English guy since I've started, but lately I've discovered Straight Virginia Flake and am really into it.  I think years ago, my tastes were a bit different or my technique was maybe not in line with straight virginias, but not I love them.  I cant wait to try FVF and some other others I've been reading about.

I have found out that I dont really like perique.  I dont care for the spiciness or the tickle in the throat or any of that other stuff that others seem to like about it.

I really enjoy it. I don’t find the vanilla flavor to be artificial or overpowering, it burns slow and has a fantastic room note.

Heck yeah!

I love when a blend is better with age. I jar most of what I buy and hold some out to try. Haven’t tried my Gaslight yet.

I stopped in a local B&M on a whim to see if they had anything more than their usual stock of Captain Balck and was surprised to see a 14 ounce keg of Prince Albert. That was my “oh what the hell” purchase of the week. Haven’t tried it yet, but tomorrow I’ll fire up some.
