IMHO, Sony is overpriced Best Buy stuff. For about that much you can buy a very nice 7.1 channel Harmon Kardon. Search around the net a bit. Oh, and get rid of those

That is what I have (the H/K), along with some Infinity Beta 50 speakers. It sounds pretty good!!! |

I'm a fan of Yamaha receivers for middle of the road. Harmon Kardon are good if you want to step it up a notch.
