Batman Begins by far.
Link Posted: 2/9/2006 5:13:20 PM EDT
Well, for a nonsuperhero adaptation, "Sin City" was the most interesting. For superhero types, I'd go with "Spiderman II" and "Fantastic Four." You know what I've found is that some of these movies that are panned by audiences and critics, actually do well in DvD format. For example, "Catwoman" was a bomb, it also makes a lot of annoying mistakes, yet it is quite watchable on DvD (especially for $6.99!).

+1 for Sin City

X-men II. Wolverine going ape shit in the mansion slicing everyone up should have been an oscar winning scene.

Second, Batman Begins

Third, Sin City

The best?

Superman 1978

The X-Men sagas are next.
Link Posted: 2/9/2006 6:53:43 PM EDT
Superman
Batman '89

I liked Constantine a lot too, I'm not sure how true to the comic it is though.

I thought the first Blade movie was pretty good.
And I want the samurai chick from Sin City

I never read the Blade comic books, but the movie does a great job of giving a comic book feel to a movie. I was a huge fan of the X-Men and the movie lived up to all possible expectations. They did great justice to the characters, and Magneto was one of my two favorite super villains (Dr. Doom's the other).

XMen 1 & 2 or Fantastic 4.

The Hulk, The Punisher(Jane) and Daredevil tie for worst.
Link Posted: 2/9/2006 7:58:54 PM EDT
they should make a Ghost Rider movie
Link Posted: 2/9/2006 9:30:26 PM EDT
I really like the X men movies but i have not read a comic book i 25 years so I couldn't say who close they are

X-Men 2 or Spiderman 2....... Tough choice

I also liked the last Alien (Ressurection) movie and AvP, I believe they were based on the comic merchanising from the first movies?

I think there is actually a trailer out...

The original Director left the project because he was told to "Lighten Up" the story, or something like that. He decided that he didn't want to be part of a "Happy" Ghost Rider movie.

When I was growing up Ghost Rider and Spiderman were my favorites. Ghost Rider is a dark story and I hate that Hollywood is gonna fuck it up.

Sin City is "teh roxor".
Electra was horrible.

Elektra was another one of those movies which is lousy the first time around, but it grows on you the second time around. DVDs are really the way to go (especially since Elektra will undoubtably wind-up in th $6.99 bargain pile at Best Buy).

They should have gone with an unknown. with Cage I'll just see Cage, with an unknown I would see The Ghost Rider.

V for Vendetta was a sweet Graphic novel/comic book mini series....I HOPE they dont Fuk it up...it has potential like sin city....also

I PRAY ALAN MOORE will stop holding out against a "the Watchmen" movie...it would beat Sin City any day pound for pound for story line and pure character development, plus I love lunitics....in comics.

I loved Hellboy. But I don't know how true it was to the comic.

I didn't like FF because of the way they handled Doom. I liked the original origin a lot better.

The only thing I liked about Elektra was the birdshot rolling off of the guy. Brilliant.

Hulk sucked. It took like a dozen attempts before I could sit all the way through it.

Long time Punisher fan, and I can't get into watching it.

X-Men has been interesting. I'm anxious to see how they handle Angel, The Beast, and is that Psyloche Psyloke Betsy? Geez, I can't even remember how Psy's name is spelt.

ETA,Psylocke

No mention of "Mystery Men"?
Link Posted: 2/11/2006 5:40:24 PM EDT
I liked the Xmen movies and Spiderman

FF was alright

I thought daredevil sucked, I heard Ben Fagfleck say that they wanted to be as accurate as possible to the comic book, then they got a fit black guy to play kingpin, last I checked he was a fat whitey.

And he still was a more believable Kingpin than Aflac was as Daredevil...

Hands down... Catwoman.

That's a tough one.
Probably the Spidermans in first, Batman Begins and X-mens in second and Punisher, Fantastic 4, the first two Blades, and Hellboy in third.

He's from the early 90's.
He came out just before the cartoon series, IIRC.
And he did make it into the series.

It'll be interesting to see how he fits into the movie. From the characters I've seen in the trailer, I'd have expected something else. Something more along the lines of say, the origin of Phoenix. Maybe they're saving that for X4.

Good luck finding a white actor with those dimensions. That John something guy from the Green Mile is an actor with credits, would have taken him over an unknown white dude whose only qualification was his size.

I've been following this for at least 5 or 6 yrs. and it's gone through some transitions. They was consideration for Johnny Depp and Viggo Mortensen to play in the movie, no telling who else. I like cage but... ghost rider? nah. I think he has the personality I think he's a little old though.
