... my sister just gave me this Samsung BD-J5700 Blu-ray/DVD player/box that lets you stream Netflix etc as well....

is it even possible to hook up the video signal (probably HDMI) to an old huge TV with the color-coded analog RCA inputs? Google fu is weak on this topic

My old TV was also analog only.  I used this one and it worked very well.  HDFury.
