I went through the pages and did not see this anywhere, another forum i visit has one of these running and i heard about all kinds of stuff to check out as well as discuss movies that you love or hate.

The whole idea is post what you watched and few comments about it.

Rise of planet of the apes (2011) -  first time I've seen this version, its was decent, not great but not terrible

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Alpha - this is a short film that ties into the new future soldier game. Its available for sale, and ive heard free on xbox live and psn as well.  - This is a solid action packed short film with lots of violence.

Saw Prometheus on Saturday and thought it was excellent. Not a game changed like "Alien" was, it is still collection worthy.

I also watched "The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford" earlier today. Dark, brooding film. I like the element the narration adds to the atmosphere. Great cast and score make for a memorable film.

I just started watching Eureka. So far I like it, cool scifi show.

About to finish up season 5 of Burn Notice and I really enjoy that show.

Supernatural, Psych,  Entourage, and Castle are a few others I keep up with once Netflix releases the seasons.

I've been slowly but surely getting some of the old MST3K shows on dvd from Amazon and Cheepnis.  Godzilla VS Megalon (or whatever) last night.   "He's got a tree!!"   "This is not the Godzilla we know!!"   Godzilla can also drop kick apparently.  Rex Dart-Eskimo spy.

in some of the old ones ive seen him do a drop kick, i seen 2 or 3 of the remakes they started doing in the 90's and up till now.  I still watch the american version too, but its more like filler till there is another godzilla movie on.

I forgot i had just watched the Hatfields and Mccoys on tv. that was a pretty solid western series.

Rampart (with Woody Harrelson)  -  Absolutely awful movie, terrible in every respect

Man on a Ledge - Not bad, worth the watch just for the chick

Safe House - Very good, worth watching again (typical Denzel character, but I was impressed with Reynolds in this film)

I finally watched Shame a couple days ago.  Fassbender really should have been nominated for an Oscar.  Great movie overall, not for everyone though.

i did see this in imax friday night, i thought it was worth it. a bit different than all the other movies in the series. but pretty good.

they had a trailer for the hobbit, and in 3D it was not very fun for my eyes, there seems to be parts where the film is going to fast with the effects making them blurry or hard to follow, i thought it was just me, but others at the movie said the same thing. and apparently they filmed it like this on purpose. anyway im only gonna see it in standard def as a result of the trailer.  whats more strange is that the Dark Knight is gonna have a Imax release as well, but they showed the trailer in 2D instead.

I picked up a copy of Act of Valor last Tuesday and finally got to watch it Thursday.  I didn't care for the acting but the action scenes were great.  Towards the end of the movie they did a scene through the perspective of the shooter.  You could hear the heart rate and breathing rise and see the sight alignment of his pistol.  I thought it was pretty good.

We went to the theater for the first time in probably a year last weekend to see the Avengers. It was awesome.

I watched modern marvels "90's Tech" about an hour ago on History channel 2. GPS and digital cameras have come a long way.

The last movie I watched was "Apocalypse," some terrible 1990s b-movie about the rapture and the antichrist. Some movies are so bad they're good. This one was just bad.

I just watched Act of Valor tonight. It was okay. I realized that, although the action sequences were well choreographed and the cinematography was excellent, the fact that they used real Navy seals left something to be desired from a standpoint of character development. I just didn't really feel the emotional investment in certain scenes because, well, they're real military men and not actors. It's worth a watch. That's for sure.

It was a little slow at the start, but picked up as the show went on

it was done really well done and Foxx was great as Ray Charles

Watched "Badlands" night before last. Beautifully filmed, and I still don't know what to make of it. Something about celebrity and innocence.

Last night was "East of Eden." That's a great movie, even if James Dean's acting style is sometimes a Marlon Brando impersonation.

Ok, watched Chronicle a couple of days ago, and it wasn't bad.  I'll admit my expectations were low, but thought it was worth the watch.  Watched 21 Jumpstreet last night, and was thoroughly disappointed.  It just wasn't very funny, although I did get a kick out of the coach's character.

watched The Safe House w/ Denzil Washington and Ryan Reynolds - pretty good spy flick, except for the 'I filmed this entirely on my I-phone' camera work
also watched Bad Ass - about a Vietnam Vet who beats down some thugs on an LA bus, and then gets mixed up in a big LA politician/ corruption scandal trying to find the killers of his best friend - meh

watched In the Shadow of the Moon - a very well done documentary about the Apollo space program

features interviews with Apollo astronauts and their recollections about their missions, very interesting.
a lot with Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, 2/3 of the Apollo 11 crew, the first mission to land a man on the moon
If you are a fan of the space program from that era, I recommend checking it out

I watched Braveheart for the first time last night.  Good movie.  I don't know how I managed to never see it all these years.

I saw The Proposition the other day.  Very good, somewhat strange Australian "western" movie.

I saw Get the Gringo recently.  Excellent movie.
