Or, go to YT on a device, computer, or smart tv and start by watching season 1 episodes 1 and 2 (it starts at 13:00 in if you want to skip Dallas talking)....

Yes it was!

Surely I'm not the only one who's disappointed when an episode ends.  They run 45 minutes to an hour each and every time I'm left thinking "no!!! Don't stop so soon!"  Each episode could be an hour and a half or so and l would mind.

I wouldn't mind if they were 2 hours, though evening chores can take a hit.

The character development in this series is exceptional, and last night put that on display front and center.

This series is my first experience casting from device to tv, and I was intimidated at first. It's very easy to do.

Nobody watched it tonight?

As #shutDallasup   said in the entro there is no big miracle scene in this episode but it was still a good one.

When Simon Peter asked Jesus to teach them how to pray like he does and he starts the Lord's Prayer was really moving.

Seeing the holymen standing on the street corners praying really brought that verse home.  I'd always kind of envisioned it as the street preacher scene in The Life of Brian but this really made the light bulb go off, "so THAT'S what it looked like!  They really did that?!"  Well of course they did or we would not have been admonished not to pay like that.

Good episode that ended way too soon. As usual.

My thoughts exactly. Always good to see Quintus and Gaius... Gaius is going to be a believer.

Same here. I had been thinking about bringing it to their attention, but it's no big deal since we can pull it up any time.

I’ve been thinking about this also and I think it’s going to be that Atticus guy. He’s intelligence-and has seen some stuff. Someone high up in Rome (a member of Caesars household) becomes a believer and starts the church in Rome. I think Gaius also called him a centurion. One of those guys is going to be the one with a sick servant that Jesus heals.
The angle of  “stop talking about Jesus!” is interesting.

John 18
Jesus Before Pilate
28 Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. 29 So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?”

33 Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”

Seems to me one of the writers found a nice, subtle, little gap to fill. One that none of the disciples would likely have had access to.

There was a lot of foreshadowing in that last episode. John 7 seems to reference religious officers.
John 11 has another subtle clue about the thoughts and motives of the “religious leadership” and their collaboration with Rome.

"Dont make me kill you"

"I won't make you do anything, my father on the other hand..."

What an amazing amount of depth and meaning in such a small, easily dismissed statement.

S3 could be ready sooner than I expected. Dallas said they're shooting for early September.

This was a great episode, but very few aren't great.

I can make a solid guess, unless you meant 'shot' instead of scene. Either way, there is both a great scene, and a great shot. The most majestic shot in the series so far, imo.

I just tried to watch on YT on my Roku and they wanted $2.99 per episode.

I'd really like to watch this, but funds are tight.

Is it free to watch on the app you speak of?

Thank you.

Answered! Thanks!

Okay! Another question . . .

By "app" I guess you mean for a phone?

How 'bout Roku or my computer?

Thanks again!

ETA: At the Apple Store: "The item you have chosen is not available in the US store".

Really?!?

That should do you.

And yes, every episode is free for the viewing.

If money frees up for you at some point please consider donating, or "Pay It Forward" as they call it so others can view it for free.  But you are under no obligation to do so.

Oh, download the app to your phone and then connect it to your Ruko.

Tap on the episode on the phone app, tap Send to TV, and when your Roku shows up on the phone tap that. It should prompt you to install the Roku app. Once that’s installed, then use the phone to play or pause the episode.

Not sure I’m liking the rock star Jesus angle; and yet?

Loved The Map.

Hoping the 2’d season comes out on DVD.

Per a recent update from Dallas Jenkins, they are currently writing Season 3 and trying to get production started, but it’s slow-going with material shortages and other issues. He’s asking for prayers for himself and the rest of the crew.

Also, Season 3 isn’t completely funded yet, so it doesn’t hurt to throw a bit of cash their way. Remember, crowdfunding it keeps Hollywood’s claws out of the show.
