Sweet.

Friend picked up a 72 (I *thnk* ... might have been a 73) to do an engine swap (I6 from a 325i). I don't think its running yet, but I think all thats left is wiring. It was a fun little car with the 4banger in it, can't wait to play with it with the I6.

The pic of that dash really brought back memories.

I had a 1972 2002 Tii, bought it new. Put almost 300,000 miles on it, autocrossed it too. Engine was rebuilt at about 180,00 miles. Repainted after a bad wreck, put on Minilight wheels, sway bars, Ansa exhaust, Koni shocks, Recaro seats. Sold it many years later for almost what I paid for it. No air conditioning though.

Have fun with the rebuild.
