1955 550 porsche spyder.

It is lightweight, mid engine, true 50/50 weight distibution. Its not a 1/4 mile car but can tear it up in the slaloms & road courses.

One day ill build a replica with a 190hp Turbo charged motor and 4 wheel disc brakes.

The Spyder never picked up Doc Hollywood and took him down the road to eternity....

Ooooh, obscure song reference!

One was styling. The speedster is based on bug chasis and rear engine. the spyder is tube chasis with fiberglass molded around it and mid engine design.

I would prefer the 959 in the background.

I have two dream cars - the one I can't afford and the one I can.

One has always been the Ford GT40; guess which one that is.

There once was a company called Beck that made 550 Spyder kit cars that looked really nice and handled like there was no tomorrow...they might still be in business.

yeah ive got ton o info. on most the makers of the kits. A rollng chasis from becks is around 20k. there are wanna be kits that are based on VW chasis that are cheaper but you still goin with the rear engine design, not the true mid engine of the real deal.

Throw Jessica Simpson in the passenger seat and you would have my fantasy girl and car in the same picture.
