1994 Dodge 3500 dually 4x4 with a 360 Magnum. 128,300 when bought in August, 134,560 now. It was out of commission for a month or so while we were getting the motor re-done (couple bad cylinders).
Pros:- 8' bed holds a lot of stuff (firewood, lumber, friends, etc.)
- Rides well for a 1 ton
- 13mpg.....pro because my 1984 Blazer got 10-11
- Manual tranny.....also pro because not as many people know how to drive a manual tranny....it might not get stolen
- Big Mother Fu*ker...I don't like small vehicles
- I've gotten even better at parking You guys with smaller vehicles complaining about parking make me laugh
- 360 seems to have decent power.
- Dana 60 up front and Dana 80 in the rear...built like a tank, IMO.
- 4 Low is REALLY low, stump pulling low.
- Fold down center seat makes for a great armrest while driving
- Only sits 3. Pro because I don't like a lot of people piling in with me.
- Rubber floormats. They clean up easily.
- What's that? An Airbag, you say!!!!
- Has enough room behind the seat for my toolbox and plenty of other tools and essentials
- Tourquey motor. Runs well when full of firewood or towing a trailer
- Cost $2800 (before the motor)
Cons:- Little wide in parking lots
- Motor could use more power.
- A/T tires...nuff said.
- Gets stuck in 2 feet of snow easily......who cares if the front bumper, axles, and frame were dragging Took 45 minutes and 2 best friends to dig it out...I bought them dinner later that week
- Rust holes in bed from previous moron's Redneck 5th wheel plate that was bolted directly to the bed.
- It doesn't have a tach. Why in the hell didn't the factory put a tach in a truck that has a manual tranny?
- Did I mention A/T tires suck?
- It's a Dodge
Seems like a pretty good truck, but I really wish I had some mudders for it. These tires leave lots of room for improvement.
I'll have some pics tomorrow.
