Worked with it a bit today.  The lift at the farm is jacked up and pouring hydraulic fluid all over the place so that needs to get fixed.  Fired right up, mellowed out after a few minutes and took her for a 2 miles spin.  That front end needs to come down a couple inches, figured out how the composite transverse spring adjusts.    Got up to about 205 degrees then realized the electric fan had no juice.  Found the loose wire and hooking to the alternator. Much more sorting needed and I need to get it in the air.  And I saw a fucking mouse in it run out from under the dash!

Checked on the car today, no mouse in the trap.
Put new plugs in and got rid of the miss it seemed to have.  Smoother idle now.
I need to fix the lift to get the suspension where it belongs.

Here you go, Cajunmofo...

I bet you can hear a slurping sound from the gas tank when you press the accelerator.

Dryer sheets and peppermint oil.

In one place that was bad, I put sticky traps around each tire.

My neighbor had one of the pace car editions.  I wanna say it was a 76 but he eventually sold it.  He also has a 78 bronco ranger that he did a frame off restoration on and some orange ass jeep that I believe originally came with denim seats and a denim top.

Got the suspension where it belongs:   Low!
Pretty simple setup with the composite front spring conversion. Pissing down rain so didn't take it out. Currently has at least 20 year old tires as well. Gotta change that

Maiden voyage today!  5 miles to my house, washed and vacuumed and then off to a local watering hole.
About 20 miles total, ran fine, issue with the electric fan turning on, but didn't get over 200 degrees.  Will be sorting for a while, but good progress.

And it can pull...

Nice car OP, love the big blocks, they made the floorboards heat up but it was, mostly, worth it. Ideally, one of each, LOL. LT1 and a tri power BBC.
I have had good luck on the mouse issue with a product called "Rodent Sheriff" from the jungle website. I have several projects
Small spray bottles, seems to be super concentrated peppermint or something like that...and the rodents don't like it at all.
Might be worth a try.

This whore is always on the edge of breaking down.  Previous Owner had her son fucking up the starter, which in turn, screwed the flexplate.  It's been on borrowed time, occasionally requiring a manual bump of the crank to get the starter to engage.  Last night the WhoreVette said Fuck you and wouldn't engage, screwing my cars n coffee debut.  Of course, once I got home, it fired right up

Still needs to get a new flexplate asap

Be honest, the HP output from new and the air flow requirements probably only required one which also kept costs down significantly as it's not a cheap part.

Just a bit............but, the cat is pretty much just along for the ride with that fuel system, I think a long testing and tuning process with a ''test pipe'' should be mandatory before fitting a cat.

My dad bought a '77 in the 90's for his "midlife crisis". L82, auto, Corvette light blue with blue leather. I loved that car when I was little.
