After seeing my WOT AFR's above where I wanted them and duty cycle of the injectors off the chart, it was time to upgrade the Walbro 255 pump.  It was either failing or my car is putting out more than the pump can keep up with.

After installing the 450LPH pump, no problem keeping the WOT AFR's in the 12.3 to 12.7 range.

I missed this thread till now. I'll have to go back and read it from the beginning.  I'm hoping to get started on my 69 Roadrunner this year.

Nice looking car.

Reading the whole thread was a little depressing... all the work my car needs. I basically have to do everything you did but with smaller patch panels on the quarters. The car is Bronze Fire met with tan interior and planned to repaint it the factory color but now I'm starting to think about something different. We'll see what happens.

Keep it the original T5 Bronze Fire. You want to see a project, you should see my 71 Charger R/T.

As for all the work, you have to start somewhere. Mine needed new dog house, new roof, quarters, extensions, wheelhouses, dutchman panel, window corners, trunk floor, driver floor and multiple patches on the door corners. And it was my first rebuild. I liked the challenge and happy I did it.

Take yours apart, cut the rot out, burn in new metal, one piece at a time. Don't move around otherwise it can get overwhelming. I think it took me 2 months to get the sheetmetal done in my spare time.

What a gorgeous build.  I have long had a love affair with the Mopars of that era and Pre-1968 GTO's.  Your work on this build is truly spectacular, and I must admit that I am jealous of the car, and quite impressed with the work you have done on it.   It really turned out marvelous, you are to be praised.

For the amount that's going to cost you to restore you can buy a brand new Scat Pack.

On it's way to the UK (this clown show operation somehow managed to smash the perfect windshield between here & NJ);

True but I'll be doing most everything myself. Doesn't matter how long it takes since I have other cars to drive or mess with. I'll never get out of it what I'll have in it but that'll be my wife or kids problem some day as I never plan on selling it.

Is the roof as holey as it looks? Keep an eye out for donor cars. Maybe someone has one with the rails rotted out.

I don't recall where I saw it, but the stock fuel lines in mopars of the era reputedly were undersized. You might look into that.

Thanks for the tip. Standard size were 5/16" with 3/8" being the upgrade. I have 3/8" feed and return which should be plenty for an 11 second car.

Installed a new Denso alternator. Pretty easy upgrade. The old one wire 60a alt wouldn't put out much at idle, lights dim, etc. This new style is internally regulated and holds the volts at a pretty steady 14.3v, at idle in D. Even with the lights on it holds steady. I gutted the external VR.

Nice.

If you are wading into the electrics trying to make the output more reliable you might take a gander here:

http://www.madelectrical.com/electrical-tech.shtml <--- BTW, you CAN have an ammeter, and safely too... AND not passing full voltage or being in the starting circuit. An older example: http://archive.siliconchip.com.au/cms/A_30551/article.html So effectively, you can replace your vintage gauge with a voltmeter for safety, put in a clamp on style ammeter (doesn't have to pass full current to the gauge) and know, for sure, what your charging system is up to ... good old volts*amps=watts.

Related, the brighter headlights rabbit hole:

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/Hid/conversions/conversions.html

Interesting info, even if you aren't trying to convert. Very useful if you are.

If you want to upgrade to euro style halogens where you can replace the bulbs and have access to the higher *useful* light outputs: https://www.visionxusa.com/shop/5-75-7-round-halogen-sealed-beam/ ... these look nice (have not gotten them yet or used them) ... GLASS in front and METAL (not plastic coated with mylar, which can reportedly melt from the heat higher output halogens cause). Speaking of higher output:

https://flosser.com/en/ <--- has very NOT legal stupidly bright halogens, if you prefer halogens. I also imagine hot enough to maybe melt the plastic-like inserts on the headlight aiming screws. 92145 100/145 watt halogen bulbs Also had better be aimed where it won't shine in anyone's face ... high beams on those are massively ticket bait in a lot of places.

Hella makes a 90/130 bulb in the h4, phillips makes a 100/130 in t hat format, osram has 90/100 watters.

I am currently set up with a x4 30 amp relay system in my 91'xj. One relay per "side" of each headlight, relays and wiring all minimum 8ga copper wire, I went low class and used the OEM headlight sockets to activate the relays. In the future I will add in a dashboard switch to turn on both high and low beams at the same time. Looking to get the bulbs at a nice solid consistent 14.2-14.4 volts, right on the bulb power leads.

Cool. The relay setup will brighten up the sealed beams respectably too. If you don't see a solid 13ish V right at the headlight plugs (just backprobe them while they're on high beam) with everything that draws electricity turned on, that setup will make a useful difference.

They seem to do the job. Mine fit using factory brackets. I had to add two 5/8" spacers between the alternator and bracket.

Here’s my 69 Satellite most of the trims there doors are intact. I’ve got the grill but missing the driver side headlight bezel. Going to need quite a bit of sheet metal to make it right again. Mine was F3 frost green with a vinyl top it was a “spring special” car factory AC/Auto haven’t been able to do much to it. Did source a power plant locally going to put a 383 in it. Plan to go dark green an put another vinyl top back on.

Yes, that's why it was important to find the air cleaner. I'm going to bead blast it and paint it the proper orange/black colors. Oh, did I mention the driveline is chrome?

There's a lot of work ahead but I gotta start somewhere.

(I barrowed the wheels off my challenger for a quick road test and only had 8 LH lugs, note the oil gauge zip-tied to the wiper arm)

Looks great. I have some extra parts and fasteners if you get into a bind. Sheetmetal for mine was almost all AMD and I was pretty happy with fitment. Ordered through Summit with free shipping. But they charge oversized fee of $15 which isn't bad.

Thank you!

Yep. I ended up adding 4 degree shims to bring the pinion down at rest. Under hard acceleration it should theoretically bring the angles close to 0.

I swapped all my LH lugs over to RH just to keep it simple. They may repop the LH lugs but nos items are still around.
