I finally got around to taking it to the track and made one easy run letting off at the line since it spun and again before the end of the 1/4 mile.  On the next run I intended to see what it might do BUT the rear end broke at the line.  The parts should be in this week and hopefully take it back out in the next few weeks.

It’s more of a street truck and actually drives pretty well.

Yeah I can see how that might be hard on parts. I love the truck though. Not something anyone would ever expect to move like that.

Put on my wheels and tires this morning.

General grabber atx 33 12.50 20’s on black rhino 20x9.5” wheels with +18 offset.

Leveled with a fox kit, go rhino rb20 boards, did led headlights (adjusted down after level), and remote start.

Skid plates and rhino lining are next.  Waiting on protech to get mesh back in stock then I’m going to add a headache rack.

What color white is that? I ask because I see they have a space white and something else. The setup looks good.

Well I finally bit the bullet and bought a new truck.

I figured I might as well. I have been waiting over two years and the market just keeps getting worse.

I like it a lot.

I really like bronze wheels against a white truck. I've been eyeballing a set of Methods to put on my truck.

Check out custom offsets. That’s where I bought my setup, you can build a complete package based off of what you have already done to your truck. I said I had a level and I didn’t want to trim anything and they guaranteed these would work, and they did. They were also pretty damn reasonable on the price.

Not sure if this goes in the outdoors, diy, or truck forum, but here it is.  Installed a Yakima overhaul rack system and some 68" hd bars on my Raptor.  I've had this sitting around all summer, I was expecting to install it on an F350 I ordered but 8 months on the wait list and I figured I may as well put it on my Raptor.

Bought it for some Yakima J hook carriers for kayaks, but we are moving next month so I'm going to put my Thule box on top and use it to help for moving stuff.  If the F350 ever actually comes, the plan is to use these for my wife and I's kayaks, kids kayaks and the adult bikes can go in the truck bed, and the kids' bikes on the travel trailer rear hitch.

@Pavelow16478 Heck yeah!  I tried to hold off modding mine and it only lasted maybe 2 weeks  i have only done a few small things, bed stabilizers, res delete, new bolts and cap (see above post) leather arm rest, better hids, rear seat latch straps.  Saving up to do the upgrade 3.0s, bigger power steering reservoir and side exit exhaust.

Another pic because why not im still excited lol

Yeah they're spendy but damn nice lights.  I'm eying the built right racks for the back of the seats, be handy for keeping hunting stuff in.

Yeah it's an 18, so no live valve.  The shocks need rebuilt.  I want to go live valve but my wallet disagrees  We'll see, may just end up rebuilding these for the time being.

Love that old truck. Very cool.

I'm slowly rejuvenating a truck my mom has had for 20ish years. Its been sitting for a couple years and she asked if I wanted it.
It had some years of neglectful use by someone who was borrowing it and then wound up sitting.
Its a nothing special 96 F150 XLT Reg cab, I6, 5spd 2wd with a big dent on one side of the bed and a tweaked bumper. I think how plain it is is part of its charm.
Figure it'll be a good beater to drive instead of getting the diesel dually out just to go pick up a bag of dog food.
Besides I need one more project.

Grubby as fk when I got it.

Amazing what you can do with soap. It still needs to be washed again but good enough for now.

I'm going to fix the misc stuff thats currently broken then put a straight bumper on it and call it good for now.

A few months ago I traded in my trusty 2011 Silverado with 189k miles for a new 2021 Ram Laramie.  The heated seats and steering wheel sure have been nice this winter!

Other than the OEM tires, which are the worst tires I've ever driven on in winter (Bridgestone Dueler H/L) and are already half worn at 13k miles, I've been quite happy with the truck.  I'll have these tires gone by the end of summer and will put on some Duratrac's or General Grabber before next winter rolls around.

After about 3 months the topper that I ordered came in last Friday.  Leer 100XR.  It should make hauling decoys and blinds much nicer next fall.  I'd still like to do a 1-2" lift and some rims, but one step at a time.

I'd kill to have a heated steering wheel. We had 2 trucks at my last job that had them and they were awesome when we were out plowing and shoveling.

Took a lot of elbow grease washing, iron out, clay bar, polishing, Graphene paint finishing, new grille, new bug guard, all new front end lights, and new rear bumper. She looks great for a 1996

Thanks. The old man that owned it kept it garaged, so it didnt need too much work to shine up. I think, all in all, my wife and I put about 7 hours of work into the paint and parts swapping yesterday and this morning.
