Well boys, we let the old truck thread slip into the archive, so I figured I would start a new one.  Maybe we can have this one pinned.

Thanks, I was looking hard at gmcs but there were no '16's local for the price I wanted to pay with the options I wanted. Gmc/Chevy are some nice trucks.

Yours looks like a nice truck.

No leveling kit.  I've never been a fan on cranking up the front end of these trucks. Nitto Trail Grappler MT in 305/55/20.  I have never noticed any rubbing while driving, but have seen evidence of some minor rubbing on the sway bar.

I have a 105 gallon transfer tank that is going in the back and eventually it will have a bumper. I'm road tripping it from Oregon to Texas hog hunting with my dad and brother later this year.

I like the idea of a "keeps deer out of the radiator when I'm a thousand miles from home" bumper, even though they stick out like a sore thumb.

Will you swap the stock fuel tank too, or just add an in-bed one? 150 gallons of fuel, even in a vehicle with poor mileage, will go a very long way.

No I'll just keep the factory tank and I won't plumb it into the system but just fuel from the pump. I use it to fuel semi trucks and equipment once in a while but mostly to just take advantage of cheap fuel once in a while.

According to the computer for the first 370 miles it's gotten 15.7 mpg on test drives and delivery to the dealer so yeah 150 gallons will get you some places.

2" rough country springs, 5150 bilstein shocks, removed sway bar, extended SS brake lines, all poly mounts. It actually rides really nice, a lil soft for serious rock crawling, but i dont off road it much any more. interior is all Line X'd

1985 Ford Ranger, 5.0, 3" lift, Explorer suspension, Explorer 8.8 with disk brakes in the rear, I have a front axle out of a '95 Ranger to put in the front (D35 with bolt on two piston calipers)  I got in 2000... so as of this year I have had it half my life.  Getting ready to start restoring it cosmetically now.

2002 F-150 dd, bought it in 2005 with 25k miles.  5.4, aside from 265/75-16 AT tires and 3.73 gears it is pretty much stock.  I haven't met the truck I would trade it for yet.
