yup sadly winters in Iowa are not the greatest for riding.  I am hoping I can get out some over spring break but who knows.

They are flagger stations for track safety. That's Budds Creek. One of the tracks used for the AMA outdoor pro nationals. Very nice facility.

First long distance trip with my dad. From Dallas area up to northern Arkansas area. The Hub is an awesome hotel near the old Dog Patch USA amusement park. On our ride up we rode through 29-31 degree temps getting to the hotel at 1 a.m. Was an interesting ride for sure! Mt Magazine in Arkansas is the highest mountain peak, has an awesome lodge and a hang glider launch area that is great just for the view of the valley below.

I know my dual sports and adventure bikes. I've ridden with a couple guys who owned them, they're neat bikes...ahead of its time for sure. I came close to snapping one up locally, but the guy jerked me around and sold it to someone else before I could get the money to him.

There's a Norge in a shop where a friend of mine works that's been kitted for adventure touring, it's very nice and low miles, might see about that soon as I'm shopping for a bike and its in my price range.

It only has 2k miles when I bought it. Now it's a little over 3500. Quite a rare find for a DR. The great thing is that the design hasn't changed since 1996, so there's a huge aftermarket for the bike.

My nearly free KLR650. I love this thing. It's my first bike, there will be a lot of learning done on this thing.

Not bad for a 2001 with 12k miles. Needs a few minor things, it could use some new plastic but not entirely necessary but shes all mine.

Anyone else cleaning carbs lately?  I pulled the tank off one of my XR400's yesterday to get some sediment out of it. I'll be tearing down the carbs on three bikes next weekend after letting them sit with gas in them for past few months.

I just helped a buddy do his DRZ...god damn was the shellac and goo piled up in that thing. Took me 2x as long as they normally do, but it's running about as well as a dizzer can run (insult intended).

Headers and heat shield refinished. Waiting on an FMF Powercore 4, new wheel bearings, and a fresh Uni air filter and I'll be ready to go for another 25k miles sans oil changes, fuel, and a new chain now and then. The XR650L may not be a performance beast...but there's something to be said for stone cold reliability...
