Didnt want to hi-jack the discussion thread on Travis on his 500cc bike so figured id start a new thread and it be a pic thread, cuz we all like pics. lol

MId 90s XR600R with HRC628 kit.

80s (1984?) XR500R, I bought it "new" in 1995. It had 5 min run time on it.

Funny story about the CR,,a guy bought it and literally flipped it on the first time out and put it away for years..it got sold to a bike shop and I picked it up,,need brakes gone thru and an actual proper break-in since it literally had about 5 min run time prior to me getting it. Thing was a beast, ran great, but after an hour of riding, was a bear to kick start and being 5'8" didnt help me much. lol.

sorry bout pics,,they were taken long time ago.. lol

POST 'EM OF YOU GOT 'EM. Dirt, dual sport, adventure,,anything that can hit the dirt or backroads.

It looks a tad bit different now as I replaced the number plates with a USA flag design.  I also added a LHRB.

Hehe...just a screen cap from one of my first rides when I got the bike in the spring.

It is AWESOME...but it is about 300#.  I can't do everything I would like (or as well as I would like) but it can do a lot very well.  It's a hell of a bike.  It's a handful and I haven't even switched the mapping to hooligan mode.

I HAD the  twinair american flag airbox sticker cover on my 525mxc,   sadly last weekend it decided to take flight on Hwy 50 somewhere on the way home.   Rocking the plain black now.

This would be the last picture I have of that cover,

IMHO, the KTM 690 Enduro R is the best dual sport bike ever made.  Sadly, my 2013 690 is up for sale (shameless plug, IM me if interested).

Started with this and about 10 cardboard boxes of parts.
91 xr250l frame with 88 xr250 motor and swingarm. Not really sure what forks those are.

Made it to this point so far. Still needs lots of little things but runs decent.
Should be fun for old wore out junk no one else wanted.

More old school XR goodness. 1985 XR350R.
Day I bought it.

In the "garage" for some minor repairs and a general sprucing up.

On part of the Great Western Trail near my house.

In Box Canyon near Florence. Up top of the rocks..

Made it down safely.

Had to find out what was on FR 223.

High desert near the BOL.

Not far from Winslow up on the Mogollon Rim.

Old iron to haul the old horse. 1983 F250

Just ordered new tires for the "horse" today. Riding season is upon us here.

What tires are you running on your KLR?  I just spooned on a couple of Shinko 705's on my '06 and the tread pattern looks like yours.  I'm hearing good things about these tires as far as bang-for-the-buck goes.

Hoppy, yup, 705's
really cheap shipped from Motorcycle Superstore. I can get them in about a day...
Think I'm paying about $65 for a rear and $50 for a front? Have to go bake and check. Ready for a rear now.

Really sticky on the roads. I get twice the mileage out of the front of course and get about 3k to 4k on the back...

I swear we ride the same areas, I'm more north if I recall (Mt. Hood/Clackamas ara). One day we're going to be coming around a corner and see ourselves in the mirror...

First bike was a TS175, rode the piss out of it in my teens. Gave up bikes for 20 years but came back and started trail & adventure riding. Owned a bunch over the last several years, two of my favorites were my '06 TTR250 - just an unstoppable goat of a bike that does everything and never breaks.

Also had a great time on my 520exc (wearing SX shrouds). Just a grin machine with gobs of useable power.

Got a lot of miles on my Strom before a couple dogs took her out, still miss that bike. We loved long rides in the country, romantic evenings in the garage, and occasionally a run to the BBQ joint, followed by some meditation in a Mexican Space Shuttle.

My 97 CR500. It went through a complete restoration a couple years ago. Its a crap picture but I figured I'd post it up since I happened to be walking through the garage.

The motor went out to be rebuilt but my engine guy called me and told me that the bottom end was perfect and it would be a waste of money to rebuild it. The cylinder is ported, it has a 39mm carb instead of the stock 38mm, FMF pipe and silencer...  Its plenty fast and will wheelie in every gear just by rolling on the throttle.

The suspension was serviced, all new bearings in the neck, wheels and swing arm.  I had new Excel rims and stainless spokes laced on to the stock hubs.

The frame was repainted.  I kick myself for not powdercoating it, which I may wind up doing some day anyway. New footpegs, new Renthal chain and sprockets... All new plastics except the gas tank. I got the last set of factory 97 Honda graphics that were in inventory.

It's dusty as hell from not being ridden.  You can see my 06 YZ250 in the background.  I ride that one a couple times a month, the Honda gets ridden maybe twice per year. It's too nice to take trail riding and honestly it kicks my ass after a while.  I can rip around all day on the YZ and not get arm pump but I'm ready for a nap after 3 hours on the Honda. I wish there were super-moto races around here, I'd get another set of wheels and actually use the damn thing.  The CRF250 is my younger brothers bike.

stupid fun off road but still a great street bike. Just did a 2 hour hare scramble on it last weekend. passed a lot of "off road" bikes in the process. should have some video in the near future... works much better off road than any 450lb bike has any right to.

I also have a tagged 07 450 XC that I use for some DS rides, but mostly ride the 950 these days unless it's really technical riding..

You should come out to Washington and ride the Desert 100 on it.

They have a class for big Adventure bikes in the race.
