So your avitar isn't your wife?

Can you acquire a rental property? Real estate is a good way to earn income and has certain tax advantages.

We’ve gotten into rental properties.  They can be fairly maintenance free if you grab the right properties.  2 of ours are mobile homes and they’ve been almost maintenance free.  Just advertising and yard clean up between tenants.  We have a professional cleaner clean them between tenants if the prior tenants didn’t clean them well or at all.  Screening is key in getting good tenants.

We’ve been looking at doing an RV park.  We’re in the oilfield and they seem pretty maintenance free, but are highly dependent upon the market here.

Depending on location the self serve ice houses seem like a good idea.   I’ve got a location that would make a killing, but when we were in the final phases we found out that they are going to do a complete tear out and redo the highway.  So we’ve put it on hold.

Kevin Bupp, look up his podcasts. He's really into mobile home parks.
