For the AFC, I am going with the favorites, the Broncos will go into Indianapolis and get kicked by the Colts.
33-10
(I think the Colts are most scared of a healthy Patriots team peaking at the right time.)

For the NFC, I like Eli Manning & the NY Football Giants going into Seattle and squeaking out a win against Alexander and the Seahawks.
27-24

It would set up for a great Super Bowl, Manning V. Manning.

If Brunel can stay healthy. As a Bronco fan, I hated that guy since Jacksonville.

The Bears have an excellent chance of winning the NFC.  Their defense ensures that they will be in any game.

The Giants are too streaky and a year or two away from making real noise.

The Seahawks are kind of the unknown commodity.  They haven't really played any big games.  They're about as quiet of a 13-2 team as I have ever seen.  Having the Colts go 13-0 didn't help any either.

To me, the Seahawks and the Bears are the class of the NFC.  Dallas, Washington, Carolina, and Tampa are all pretenders.

As for the AFC, I think the Colts are still way above anyone else.  Denver is good, as is New England.  But I just don't think either has what it takes to take the Colts in the RCA Dome.  New England has been playing much better of late, but they're still not the team they were in years past.

Denver's running game is great and Plummer hasn't shot himself in the foot this season like he has in previous years.  But I doubt the Bronco D can contain the Colt O.

Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, and KC are decent teams.  But I doubt if any of them will be playing in the conference semis.  Jax has a shot if Leftwich is ready for the first game.  Pittsburgh just doesn't have that game-breaking weapon.  KC is dangerous with Johnson running the ball and with the receivers they have.

But until the pairings are set, I will make no predictions as to whom will be playing in the conference championship games.  I would like to see Seattle/Chicago and Indy/Denver though.

I forgot all about the Bungles.  They are a very good team.  Very dangerous offense and their defense is capable.

But they already had their chance against the Colts.

nobody picks the Cowboys?

talk about an underdawg.

The Manning vs. Manning Superbowl would be pretty cool.

I like the Bears and Pittsburg.

Is that a homer pick or an educated guess?

I just wonder how much Brunell has left in the tank.  But when it comes to playoff (or potentially playoff) bound NFC contenders, I like Brunell better than everyone else.  He's got a lot of moxy.

Superbowl:  Colts over Bucs.

AFC Championship Game:  Patriots at home defeat Pittsburg
NFC Championship game:  Seattle hosts New York in a pick'em game

Can the Patriots three-peat?  It may be too much after three tough playoff games.

I'm looking forward to watching Santana Moss and Clinton Portis run all over Tampa bay tomorrow...so no, I don't give the Bucs a chance. They didn't beat us the first time, they just got a golden egg handed to them when Allstott's run was erroneously called a touchdown when he obviously was down before the endzone.
Redskins are going to the show!

I'm not a homer, with the exception of the Nationals.  Even though my TRUE baseball team is the NY Mets.

Who do the Redskins REALLY have to face that they can't beat on "Any Given Sunday"?????

Washington is streaky, although they have now won 6 in a row.  Their offense can be dangerous.  Methinks Gibbs has this team going where they need to be.

They won't stop Alexander.  He will go over 100.  I think the 'Skins will win though -- obviously.

Which might win the game when Grossman or Orton throw 3 picks and the score repeats at 13-3 or 10-7, or 10-3....

Carolina's defense is pretty good too...Manning is much better than Grossman or Orton.

Barber is a lot better than T. Jones.

Honestly, let's call it Carolina 17 Bears 10....
