Nice photos. How long did you have to wait?

Not long. The bird hangs out at a large pond in front of my son's school. I took the pics just before I drover over to pick him up.

Hey what part of Florida?

I just spent two days kayaking down the Swannee River - Saw a bunch of the native Florida wildlife. Yes there is more to Florida than malls, parking lots, and the trap being run by the mouse.

I will have to get some pictures up.

Thanks,

Badredfish

Those are good photographs of a subject that is rather hard to catch in the right place at the right time. We have a similar breed of heron in my region. The feathers are mainly white- I can't remember their proper name. I almost snapped one two years ago, but he flew away before I could focus. They hang out in the salt marshes. One of these days I should buy some waiders and spent a few mornings in the muck.
