Guide to "convert" maps:---

  • 1) Copy a level from your bf2\mods\bf2\levels folder ie. Strike

  • 2) Paste to Desktop

  • 3) Open up the "copied" folder on your desktop

  • 4) Open your server.zip file

  • 5) Extract the init.con

  • 6) Replace the following (In RED) (OR download uglygun's file)

  • 7) Save it

  • 8) Insert this init.con back into the Strike folder

  • 9) Cut and Paste this folder back into your bf2\mods\xpack\levels folder

  • 10) Load up SF and enjoy playing Strike on SP and MP using SF


** PLEASE NOTE ** This change doesn't affect the loading screen. I am still currently trying to work out how to change these. Also, load up a SP version of Strike so the Shaders can adjust! IF you don't the level will appear dark.

This method "should" work for the rest.

The guy with the server is going to upload Mashturr soon.

Today I will edit the Mashturr init.con so that it will run in accordance to how he's got the server sides set up. Then people can just download the server.zip file for the mashtur map folder and not have to edit it.


Editing it isn't hard but not everybody is comfortable with opening a zip, editing, then rezipping it. With WinRAR it's real quick and easy.


Mashtur is going to use SEALs and MEC S/F, copied out of Devils Perch. Makes for an easy copy and paste when dealing with the notepad document.

It's 5:30AM and I just got home from work, going to bed and will edit the file when I wake up later today. If somebody else wants to do it, the above information will help you in knowing where to go if you want to simply cut/paste.
