Hopefully they fix the game by the time it’s released on stream. After watching streams and seeing it on a buddies console, the game obviously needed another 6 months. View Quote Unlike FO76 which I finally gave up on. |

Well for one the PC version is not optimized very well at all. Lot of performance issues there. The consoles suffer from laggy menus, but they may have fixed that in an update. I haven’t seen the game played in the past week.
General consensus last week was that the game felt rushed. Metacritic user score is setting around 5.x out of 10. No one mentions epic store, just performance issues. |

Weird, not my experience at all and I'm using an older laptop. Level 32 here. Just got to the Penn and Teller boss last night. Kicked my ass solo, so I went to bed.
My son is pissed. He paid $100 of his hard earned lawn mowing money, and the game plays like shit on the pc. My wife is a pc gamer, and she says it's not a problem with the pc, but the game. Guess it pays to be a dirty console peasant. |

Addressed a concern reported by certain players that sounds were quiet or missing for the second split-screen player if they move too far from player one. Addressed a concern reported by certain players that 3-player groups were having trouble matchmaking with an additional solo player. Addressed a reported concerned experienced by certain players that in split-screen one player’s sprinting animation could be interrupted by the other player opening the ECHO menu. Addressed a concern reported by certain players that in split-screen where one player’s aiming down sights could be interrupted by the other player opening the ECHO menu. For djsmiles or anyone else having PC performance issues, this reddit post helped out a lot on my system. I have an RX590 which is the recommended GPU for 1440p but even using the High preset and turning off volumetric fog I was getting a pretty variable 40-60 FPS. With these settings I'm staying high 50s to a steady 60 and it looks better. I kept Anti-Aliasing enabled, other than that I used these:
- Graphics settings: Graphics API - DIRECTX 12 (again, DX 11 will cause stutters and lower framerates; Claptrap will dance for 5-10 minutes the first time you load DX 12, but it is WORTH IT) - Overall Quality - Ultra (making this lower will affect texture resolution greatly) - Anti-Aliasing - None (minor jaggies on 4K but crisper detail overall) - Fidelity Sharpening - On (doesn't affect performance) - Camera and Object Motion Blur - Off - Texture Streaming - High (setting this to Ultra will cause issues while on vehicles and will cause random hitching) - Anistropic Filtering - 16x - Material Complexity - LOW (this is probably the MOST important setting because setting this anything higher will cause drops when blood, gore, and any elemental effects fill your screen; the difference between the settings is hardly noticeable, but this MUST be set to low for no hitching during heavy combat or even just a melee where blood fills your screen) - Shadows to Character detail - Ultra - Ambient Occlusion - Low (slight boost to framerate and negligible difference from Low to Ultra) - Volumetric Fog and Screen Space Reflections MUST BE SET TO OFF. Outside of material complexity, these two settings are the biggest culprits in maintaining a locked 60 FPS. The volumetric fog effects are mainly used on just one planet, and the screen space reflections aren't that well implemented anyway. https://www.reddit.com/r/borderlands3/comments/d580p8/psa_how_to_get_a_locked_60_fps_on_pc/ |

Borderlands 3 Hot Fixes [9/27/2019]
A hot fix is automatically applied at the Main Menu when Borderlands 3 is connected to the internet. In general, hot fixes are used to temporarily address issues between major updates. Hot fixes are not permanent – they are temporarily stored in memory during the game session and lost upon exiting Borderlands 3. To ensure that you receive hot fixes, make sure that your system is connected to the internet when Borderlands 3 boots up and hang out on the Menu screen for a minute. The hotfix will be live at or before 3pm PT today, September 27th. This week’s hot fixes target weapon & enemy balance, player characters, and adjusting chances of specific unique drops. Billions of guns were fired and after collecting some data, we wanted to balance some weapon types and weapon manufacturers. These adjustments are intended to even the playing field and increase build diversity for all Vault Hunters. Speaking of build diversity, Zane has received a gadget upgrade and we’re excited to see players create more unique builds with him! Many Crew Challenge enemies have specific loot drops but we received reports that some were not dropping them. We have made some modifications so they now have an increased chance of dropping their unique gear in addition to any other gear that may drop! https://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/t/borderlands-3-hot-fixes-9-27-2019/3675684 Click To View Spoiler Weapon Hotfixes
Sniper Rifles Sniper rifles deal high damage but felt a little cumbersome to use in certain scenarios. This change will increase their overall damage and increase usability in more combat engagements. Critical Damage increased by 20% Fire Rate increased by 15% Time to Aim Down Sights (ADS) reduced by 15% Time to Equip reduced by 20% Pistols Jakobs and Torgue Pistols were outperforming other manufacturers, dealing damage to groups of enemies at a much higher rate than other pistols. This change keeps their identity intact but reduces overall group control. TEDIORE, DAHL, and Children of the Vault Pistols have manufacturer penalties that affected their overall damage. Increasing their overall damage will overcome some of the penalties while retaining their unique gameplay style and feel. Increased damage on all TEDIORE Pistols by 15% Increased damage on all DAHL Pistols by 15% Increased damage on all Children of the Vault Pistols by 20% Reduced damage on Jakobs Pistols by 15% Reduced damage on Torgue Pistols by 10% Maliwan Manufacturer Maliwan weapons had reduced overall damage because they applied elemental DoTs at a rate and damage greatly above other manufacturers. This effect was toned down before launch, but the overall damage was not sufficiently adjusted to compensate for the reduction in elemental DoTs. We’re adding back some of the overall damage and making the weapons faster so elemental builds can really take advantage of Maliwan weaponry. All Maliwan Weapon Damage increased by 25% All Maliwan Weapon Fire Rate increased by 20% Atlas Manufacturer Atlas weapons relied on a game loop that we felt gave players a greater advantage when used correctly. Turns out the loop is not used if the damage doesn’t compensate for the time to set up. So now damage on Atlas weapons should facilitate players using them in general on top of feeling badass when they take advantage of Atlas technology. All Atlas Weapon Damage increased by 25% Miscellaneous Adjustments The Jakobs Assault Rifle change was to differentiate the Assault Rifle from the pistol as more of a mid to long range powerhouse. Since the Assault Rifles have low mag sizes compared to other Assault Rifles, they’re getting a slight increase to overall damage to compensate. DAHL SMGs had their Fire Rates adjusted down before launch but their damage was never sufficiently increased so they should feel more appropriate compared to other SMGs. And the Vladof Heavy Weapon damage has been increased to share in the full Heavy Weapon treatment. Jakobs Assault Rifles Damage increased by 20% DAHL SMG Damage increased by 10% Vladof Heavy Weapon Damage increased by 25% E-Tech TEDIORE Shotgun Damage increased by 50% Legendary Modifications We’re going to be making a larger, comprehensive Legendary gear pass but we have included the following changes. King’s and Queen’s Call were modified to lower the fire rate. The weapon has a limited burst shot count so overall feel of the gun isn’t dramatically affected. King’s and Queen’s Call Fire Rate reduced by 50% Firestorm and Storm base Charge Times were reduced to 1 second (down from 2) Graveward Graveward’s beam attacks did not properly scale based on level so at higher levels, the two beam attacks hardly phased players. Players will find his attacks to be more lethal now. In addition, Graveward is a very large enemy and is too easily susceptible to elemental damage unlike the other large bosses. Elemental damage on Graveward is now greatly reduced but to compensate, Graveward’s overall health was reduced. Attacks of Graveward now scale based on level Reduced overall health by 20% Increased resistances to Elemental Damage Elemental Chance Resistance increased by 70% Elemental Resistances increased by 30% Elemental DoT Duration taken reduced by 30% Miscellaneous Changes Hollow Point Guardian Rank has been temporarily disabled. We plan on addressing this further in a future patch. Vault Hunters should no longer scream when affected by a DoT while shields are active. Vending Machines will now be restocked with higher quality “Items of the Day”. Adjusted a visual concern on Maliwan Shotguns with Cryo Element. Legendary loot drops have been balanced throughout the game. Crew Challenge enemies will drop their intended specific loot, and some enemies like Troy and Rampager will be a bit more stingy and no longer drop Legendaries every kill. Vault Hunter Adjustments Zane Zane’s gadgets were great at providing additional utility but lacked impact as players leveled up. We increased the Digi-Clone damage with all equipped weapon so the skill can scale better with players as they get to higher levels and harder content. The Drone requires a lot of player involvement to take full advantage of its damage output and increasing the base damage as well as the augments will greatly increase the Drone’s versatility and reward players even more for using it effectively. Digi-Clone Damage Increased by 38% Drone Damage increased by 50% Cryo Bullets damage penalty removed Drone Rocket damage increased by 50% Almighty Ordnance Rockets damage increased by 75% Amara Guardian Angel health restoration reduced from 100% to 50% Glamour damage penalty reduced from -30% to -10% FL4K Guerillas in the Mist’s bonuses greatly outweighed its penalty to the base skill. We don’t want to remove the playstyle completely, but the overall damage output had to be slightly adjusted because it was outperforming other builds. We’re monitoring the changes and may make another change to the ammo return in a future patch. Guerillas in the Mist duration reduced from 8 seconds to 6 seconds Guerillas in the Mist Critical Damage Bonus reduced from 50% to 25% |

Quoted: Thanks, these settings helped out quite a good bit. Seems like it's just terribly unoptimized for multicore/thread. A buddy and I get near identical framrates, I'm on a ryzen 1600/gtx1080 and he's on a ryzen 2600/gtx2080 and we both struggle for 60fps even with medium settings and what not. Another guy in the squad has a 9900k and a 2080 and has an almost locked 140 i guess. Everybody is playing at 1440p. Obviously the intel CPU is a lot nicer (and more expensive), but there are games running twice as well that are twice as demanding so it's pretty frustrating. View Quote |

Intesting post from reddit for the Zane players out there...
I tested every single one of Zane’s skills and these do not work as advertised Click To View Spoiler Boyo get ready there’s a lot.
Double barrel does not increase your damage after switch as advertised. It only effects your digi clone. A short time is also the cooldown or switching Incase you are curious Tested in a duel with a perkless Moze by counting numbers Praemunitus does not increase digi clones mag as advertised. Sometimes. Tested with a boom enhancless double barrel perk 3 shot 3 mag Jacob and a boosted class mod. I can shoot twice with the gun but the clone has a 50 50 chance of either shooting once then reloading or shooting twice each time I summon Schadenfreude does not restore shield as advertised, but instead starts your shield recharge when your digi clone runs out of shield. I tested this by dueling that Moze but giving her a rocket launcher and a good sniper this time. Edit. On a further test. Schadenfreude may not actually do anything what so ever! I’ll get back to you in RyanCentral. Boom enhance provides less health than advertised, tested by taking off shield and counting body shots from Moze to kill on a clone with no augments. The amount of shots increased from 3 to 7 on a 3 grenade consumed which is from a 100% increase to a 150% depending on overkill. I have not spent any guardian ranks so that I can do these tests first. (Can i say stupid you can take them off) it seems each grenade provides half the stats of the last Distributed denial does not work what so ever with any unique effect I tested, or anointed effects to anyone, (tested with break up rough rider stop gap back ham and whiskey tango foxtrot and regen 3% max health per second when digiclone active alongside a digiclone and a friend playing as Zane) Does not have on destroy on damage on empty effects, does not provide anything that boost stats. (Though it can reflect projectiles) It also can not provide amps to people who already have amp or increase amp damage and amp does not increase damage when shooting through it. (Though it can give amp effect to allies but that may piss them off) I could not find a shield effect that the shield can use, you allies can use, and you can gain increased efficiency from, however I do not have the time nor technology to test percentage chance like boosters absorbs or reflect, but the shield can’t absorb anyway. also your digi clone also gets reduced efficiency like you for some reason same with everyone with similar shields. Sharing a nova shield with someone else with a nova for what I tested is not as good as sharing one with someone without as the damage is increased by a by a smaller amount. Also combining your nova shield shared with a nova shield of a different element only does the element of the equipped shield. Also the exact bonus (I measured in damage on a nova) changes not with the nova damage on your shield but your friends specific shield as the damage done to a perkless flak varied between shields even if they didn’t have nova on them. (I’m actually uncertain if the nova stacking reduced the damage because of this so I tested for hours but the variation here is much higher, comparing a 25% less damage to a 5-10% variation) note I don’t have the time or technology to check percent chances, so I am unsure if reflect chance booster chance or absorb chance increase Edit Doppelbanger augment works as intended. Apparently action skills or aoe or something does less damage in my specific test. Left mayhem on. This is the only bug invalidated by that because it is the only one I did not compare proportions to a status que but compared to a listed exact number. Best served cold kill skills cooldown is also increased by 7 seconds from death follows close Unlike advertised, digital distribution augment shares less damage the lower the digiclones health and also damages the digi clones health even if it has shield left. At max shield confident competence only increases gun damage by 10% Futility belt does not grant the 12% damage listed to a fire damage sniper that was converted to non elemental via kill skill when shot by the perkless Moze. It does however, make said sniper do more damage to the shield by removing the wrong elemental penalty, and does stop the dot. Note thought it will increase your damage taken from corrosive by quite a bit. Stiff upper lip does not provide non elemental damage resist from damage converted to non elemental by futility belt. Tested by shooting me twice with that same sniper. Futility belts duration is not increased by 7 seconds by death follows close. Nanites augment or some shite does share to allies when the shield is held Retaliation augment does not work when held (damage compared to the amp of shooting through a held shield, vs a held shield after being damaged with retaliation) Charged relay augment does not work or share when held. (If you want to hold it, go deference field all rounder those two work) Violent momentum does not double your damage bonus when you double the move speed at a 1-1 ratio (I didn’t test this someone else did) after normal move speed, move speed bonuses increase violent momentum’s efficiency by 80% the bonus applied. Edit: found a new one prepping for Ryan centrals video. The radiation augment for the sentinel leaves a radiation dot that is locked at 2 and does not scale. From level 10 to 50. Further testing is required. But it should be about 20 times stronger. i also plan to look to see if you actually get the buffs promised at all! You don’t in duels but this may be enemy dependent. Trick of the light and which ones real I have not tested because all these are tested in brawls for enemy corporation. If you know if they work or not tell me. False advertising is also my middle name I’ll be working on a video with ryancentral to show these. Some of them were tested before the hot patch and ninja fixes may have happened, but I think we’re on the blood path to getting these fixed thanks for plat and for front page boyos. Also feel free to check for yourself. Like I said I fear ninja fixes some of these may not be problems anymore especially, according to the comments, with distributed denial. Further testing is required. Expect an up to date video on Ryan central. A lot of these I know still exist though. We will be more accurate and up to date on Ryan central. |

I believe in the patch notes from yesterday they also stopped the shield regen which was a PITA if you went to deal with the adds. They also reduced the health of a boss you will encounter in the future by 25%, which is nice since that fight was looooong. |

Quoted: I played through on Fl4k and did very few side quests, left all the claptraps, Typhon logs, High Value Targets (the bad asses you kill for Zero), creature kills for Hammerlock and the vehicle hijacks. Finished the campaign at lvl 35 and got to 50 pretty quickly going back and doing all the stuff I left behind on Mayhem 1 and Mayhem 2 settings. I'm on PC, if you're on console I dunno if you can even turn Mayhem on until you beat it in TVHM. View Quote What I meant by power leveling is using one character (lvl 50) to quickly boost the xp of an alternate character |

Quoted: You can turn mayhem on after beating it in regular mode on console. I went for TVHM instead for the challenge but honestly sticking with mayhem is the way I would go looking back. Started off great, had a blast playing end game with a couple buddies. Spent untold hours farming weapons to get the perfect moze build. Then gearbox decided to nerf the ever living crap out of the best moze builds. They need to stop micromanaging and let borderlands 3 be a borderlands game, not destiny

It’s free weekend for the game. I downloaded and glad I didn’t buy it. The amount of input lag is fucking stupid. How the hell have they not fixed this by now?

People didnt have to use the porcelian pipe bomb but it was there in BL3. Neither needed fixing. |

Played on my xbox one and loved how fluid it felt compared to BL2. However as I suck at consoles I couldn't get very far.
Waiting on Steam so I can buy this and give it some proper love! |

Quoted: I came to Borderlands YEARS late. What did I miss in the Evil Smasher? View Quote Where it got crazy is that you could reapply the damage buff over and over. If you spent a minute of spamming it you could turn an ordinary infinity pistol into a laser beam. If you wore the bee shield it would be even more impressive. I am talking like 1500rpm fire rate with each hullet doing 100k+ damage points. It made farming bosses possible because you could melt them in no time. The game would actually bog down while trying to process the damage totals. Idiots who like to pub were responsible for ruining it. There was a sorta similar damage hack with the grog nozzle as well from the Tiny Tina expansion. You could solo all the content with the grog nozzle if you did it right. |

Quoted: You missed 2 or 3 cheesy, broken combos that got fixed to keep people from steamrolling the game (not like ANY others EVER existed) which apparently hurt a few feelz. View Quote Face it, I wouldnt want you playing with me any sooner than you would want to play with me. The two camps of thought on the matter were pretty decent at self segregating. The white knight "spirit of the game" complainers can hang themselves in from the floor joists of their parent's basement for all I care. |

Anybody know if you can hook up a keyboard and mouse to the Xbox One version and play like a PC?

Quoted: It had a random damage multiplier thing that had to do with the reloaded magazine size which would be random. There was a specific moment during the reloading that you could switch weapons and it would apply the damage multuplier to any other gun you had.
