I haven’t ran since March of last year when I hurt my knee. Now I’m up 30lbs, I miss running. Knee is still messed up sadly. Anyways I’m starting to do some walks, trying to get 4 miles a day this week, maybe in a few months I’ll try some runs but for now just sticking to the walks, it’s better than nothing, it actually made my legs and feet sore doing 3 days in a row. I’d like to set a goal of 700 miles of walking (hopefully some runs in there eventually)

5.60 / 60.01; on trails in the snow in ID; temps mid-20s; I've never done anything like that; I'm not sure how you Northerners do it. It felt like 10 with all the babysteps I took. 1/14/20 8.08 / 68.09; same location but on a treadmill in a controlled environment; still not fun, but more to my liking |

Late start. It’s fucking Arctic here (in China, of course ) so I haven’t been getting in a lot of running. Treadmill doesn’t count. That’s like spanking the monkey and counting it as sex.

My watch died at the end of loop 11 so I borrowed a watch to finish the last 2 loops, which turned into ankle deep water and mud. One person with our crew took a spill early on and was struggling, so I grabbed a beer, a sandwich, and some quick rest before doing his last loop with him. We even had one of our group finish the 100k. It was a great event, and I recommend it to anyone close to NW Florida. Attached File |

I didn't do a long run this weekend due to familial obligations on Saturday and then feeling ill yesterday. I really didn't want to move this morning, either. But, it's done. I don't have a passion for running. I do it so that I can eat bacon and drink beer. (some truth in there, but lots of sarcasm, too) How do you guys find the motivation to grind it out? After the marathon in March, I'll probably drop back to 3-4 days per week at 4-5 miles each. |

2nd run of the day - for science.
3.0 / 56.07 My phone tells me that’s 1,382 steps per mile at 6 mph. Does that jive with what you all are getting from your devices? Yeah, I know there’s a lot of factors but is it ballpark accurate? I’m 5’7” btw. We’re doing a step challenge at work and I want to count my treadmill runs so I’m trying to establish a base-line steps per mile. |
