I am in Ohio this week, so I am doing my best to keep things under control. I don't travel much so thats good. Not eating the best foods, but trying to eat not too much.
Goal is to not undo anything I have done, don't care if I go down on the scale, just don't wanna go up. |

Down 12 pounds!
216 this morning. Superbowl party with my neighbors...... |

I was 215 yesterday. Then I at 90% of a pineapple upside-down cake. Now 220.

Holding at about 223, if I don't start dropping again by first of next week I will need to make some adjustment.
I did have a not so good last week on the road though. And that carried into the weekend a little. |

I just had a cookie. It had been taunting me for 2 days. View Quote I am only lifting, zero cardio, but I did stop drinking sodas, red bulls, and eating junk food. I think this is why I am losing weight. I have adjusted my diet but I do not track my macros. I usually eat meat, salads, and very little if any carbs. |

I can notice some subtle differences but nothing significant just yet. Haven't been aggressive with eliminating muscle but rather building muscle/strength at this point.

How's everybody doing with their transformation? View Quote Last night was carb night. Yeah, that's what it was. Totally planned. I'll uh, check in properly later this week (when the extra water weight drops off again) if I remember, but my last weighin was 193 something, down from 200ish in early January. Goals were 190 by April and 180 by July, so it looks like I'm going to blow right past those, barring any bad stalls. |

Going great here! Been taking photos every couple of days....can tell something is going on......

Las week was the carbcalypse or carbmageddon I had potatoes in every form imaginable, fried, baked, boiled, mashed.

Doing lousy. I was down to 232, now I'm back up to 241. I haven't eaten more than usual, but I'm steadily getting heavier every day.
Plus, I've developed sciatica and it's KILLING ME to lift or do half of the cardio routine. I'm extremely frustrated and demoralized. I don't get how I'm gaining weight when I'm working out 5 days a week and eating right. My clothes are not getting any looser, so I'm not losing fat. |
|
Last two weeks I've completely got derailed. A series of events two weeks ago, plus the fact I was at home for less than 24hours total last week kinda killed my progress. On a good note I'm on track to blow by my 2800minimum calorie goal for today and am gonna get my workout in here real soon.

Stress....that is what causes the body to release cortisol. View Quote So being frustrated about not losing weight is causing me to build up a chemical that prevents weight loss? How do I fix that? In other news, I'm trying to go Keto and see what happens. I literally can't lose anything but convenience. |

I literally can't lose anything but convenience. View Quote It could be a contributing factor but the amount of stress I've taken on in the past 6 months is impressive. I'm loosing weight. It's some muscle as well. No sleep is really killing my lifts in the gym. Last 3 weeks I've lost at least 30lbs off my bench. |

cortisol must be why I am eating a HUGE bowl of lucky charms right now.
I am off the reservation, need to get back on in a hurry. |

I'm still hovering around 215. If only I could break my chicken wings addiction.

I'm still hovering around 215. If only I could break my chicken wings addiction. View Quote It's the cortisol for sure...been linked directly to chicken wing addictions. Cause science. On the bright side, I've made a deal with my wife. I have never been disciplined enough to do cardio more than a couple times. We now have a deal where for every two cardio sessions I do I get a special favor. That's all I'm saying. If that doesn't get me in my cardio NOTHING will. I'm also taking my 531 type program from 4 days week to 3...that will make each cycle a little longer, allow for more recovery and allow for more cardio days. I'm pretty stroked for this program tweak. I don't feel like I recover well enough on the 4 day program. |

176 today.....I think I need to eat more. I do not have a lack of energy when at the gym, usually average an hour of lifting 4 days on 1 day off, then 3 days on 1 day off.......but I'm still loosing about 2 pounds a week.

I've been trying to push harder with the weights, but I need to do do better with cutting out soft drinks.
Changes as of yesterday morning (2/18/2017): 1. Total weight increase from 166.4 to 168.2 (1.8 lbs increase) 2. Fat % decrease from 19.7% to 19.2%. 3. Fat mass decrease from 32.8 lbs to 32.2 lbs. 4. Fat Free Mass increase from 133.6 lbs to 136.0 lbs. If I could just stick to cutting out the soft drinks, I believe that I could reduce the fat more efficiently. I've been averaging one to two a day. Also, a little bit of that FFM increase was increased body water. So it wasn't quite all increased muscle mass. |
