Hurt my knee on tuesday, heavy front squats.
Well, back up. On FRIDAY, I got hit by a fucking car. I was walking out of costco, carrying all my groceries because I'm a man and no I don't need a box. Well this old fuck was pulling out of the lane, turning left, looking right, drives right at me not looking at all, i basically dive out of the way just in time for his sideview mirror to clip my left hip/buttcheek with enough force to collapse it. Old fuck waves at me and drives on. I feel fine, go home. Squatting tuesday my left hip is wound tight AF and I definitely start favoring it in my squats, but keep driving anyway. On front squats (3x3@370) I start getting some consistent pain on the outside of my left knee and call it. It persists very mildly today. Hopefully be better by next week. Gonna shoot for the 1200# club at the end of the month, i want that T-Shirt...then it's time to cut. 111kg is about 11 too many. |

Blood and urine were fine. BP was pretty high for her. Gave her anti-inflammatory and sent her on her way.
Told her if she can't pull back her bow she can carry my pack. |

Thanks for the well wishes, fellas.
When I met her she was a runner who had been told she needed knee surgery. Little by little pulled her over to the dark side, and now CF is her own journey. She is stronger than she has ever been and really enjoying pushing the limits. Like all of us, she is going to have to develop some discretion, and learn what her personal limits are. |

Well fuck me. Turns out things were not as clear as she was led to believe yesterday morning.
In the ER receiving IV fluids and resting. Her creatine kinase levels were four times at what is considered serious disease, but those results didn't come back until late in the day yesterday. Glad I pushed her into going yesterday. In typical female fashion she was just toughing it out. Rhabdomyolysis for sure. |

Lotta folks are broke.
Hip feels horrible, bursitis comes and goes periodically. Squatted 250 x 5 and stopped because of the pain this morning, felt light though. Court case with the EX was finalized on Monday so now I can focus my energy more on training. Going to spread out my recovery time so I will squat 1x per week, for now. I'm going to take 2 weeks off for vacation, no lifting at all, should help in recovery. My wife told me that I should spend more time hunting this year because I deserve it- My conditioning for the next few months will be the hike to my hunting grounds. Anvil- Good luck on the hunt, don't forget pic's. |
