Ok here's the story, our hosting company was bought out by another one and thus why they didn't care when service went down the tubes. Well, they also failed to let us know that they were shutting down services on Monday the 18th!!! (We rent office space and thus were overlooked from the other co-lo's)

Well, we scrambled to get a temp solution and will try to keep an eye on it while we work on a perm solution. We'll be able to increase the BW within a pair of days if things seem slow.

To top this all off, this morning we found out some of our problems are due to a fried CPU in one of the boxes. (Dual CPU machine, so it's on one leg now!) We'll try to get it replaced as soon as possible.

We also made a few changes to some things to try to even the load more for the servers.

Ok update... seems there's a problem with the line, they're coming to check it tomorrow afternoon (bastards!) from their main connection to the servers.

I apologize for this, seems I'm doing that a lot lately. I honestly wish this was something in our control, but unfortunately we need this short term solution to work.

The servers actually run at about 40-60% util during peak, which isn't bad for Win2k stuff... linux is swiss cheese and unix is too clumsy and expensive for systems...

Oh and BlammO is right, F' Microsoft for making the Server OS put hosting companies out of business!!! [=D]

We've got our perm lines being put in and testing the the next 2 weeks, so hopefully we'll be past this temp nightmare for good! (Long term contract on the fibre so we dont need to worry about this kinda stuff!)
