I currently use the Bushnell 1500 Elite LRF. It's great. It's been reliable and works well. I am trying to trim down my hunting loadout, and I want a smaller LRF.
I would like reliable rangefinding out to 400M on opaque, non reflective objects (trees, animals, etc). Waterproof, and compact. I looked at the Leica, but they are a bit outside my price range. I considered one of the Leupold offerings or a Bushnell 1000 DX. |

Check out the Vortex Impact. It's new so might be a little tougher to find but runs $199 street price and will do what you want.
