Unfortunately not nearly the options we have for 5.56. Not a SS fan, so all those are out for me. Not enough longevity. I do want a nitrided LW50, but no luck finding that. Is Ballistic Advantage my best option? Faxon has too many headspace problems. Any CHF CL or just very good hard chromed barrels available?
Seems Faxon has fixed their headspacing problems and FN is now making CHF CL .308 barrels.

Thanks. Do wish their 18" was RL and I wouldn't have even asked for other suggestions.

I love my Criterion Hybrid Nitrated SS... they sell great barrels, in a variety of materials.
http://criterionbarrels.com/barrels/.308_AR Some 100yd 168gr FGMM groups from my barrel... Rifle is a PSA PA10 GenII 18" middie, with tinkering by me.
