Piston Precision AR-10 options

DrunkTank Joined Jul 2006 Posts 961 EE 94% (17) TX, USA	Posted: 8/14/2017 10:12:02 PM EDT What manufactures out there make a solid .308 precision AR.... but in a piston driven platform? Why piston? Because I love running a suppressor and I'm tired of inhaling gas and dealing with a filthy ass receiver afterwards. Id absolutely LOVE to get a GAP or JP but theyre all DI. Only piston option im aware of is LWRCI REPR MKII. Thoughts? Options?

Cleaner cases no receiver mess and it's actually a little softer recoiling after removing some weights from the buffer and replacing with a spring front and back. Now for the bad side do not place hand over the gas block without gloves!

Impressive, figured you'd be throwing 129's. With any luck I'll be swapping my OBR to a 22" .260 this weekend and hope to be able to be consistent out to ~1,400...if I can talk a buddy into letting me shoot that far on his hunting land

the 129's don't seem to do good at those distances. 140 was the happy middle.

You could always do an adjustable gas block on a DI gun. Ironically enough, I get more gas to the face shooting my PWS MK116 than my DDM4A1, even when my PWS is set on suppressed mode.

Are the people saying that they aren't getting any mess or gas using the piston set up running suppressed? Cause if so, that hasn't been my experience.

ETA: Here's a post from a good friend of mine from back in the day but, throw a suppressor on a piston AR and this is the same result I've gotten. I'm a lefty and bought a few piston AR's specifically to try and combat that gas blowback I was getting but, after a couple years of running them, a Gas buster CH and Adjustable gas block seems to work best for me.
