I really wanted to suppress mine, and finally did it last summer.

10 rounds gave me enough gas to the face to take the mount off and put the f/h back on.

New PSA PA10 in 308, 20in barrel. I've put about 20 rounds through for function testing and breaking in.

Just added Larue trigger and the mount setup is temporary waiting for my ADM mount to come off backorder. The buttstock is also a temp until magpul gets off their butts and releases the PRS lite.

The Viper PST 6-24 is temp as well until I get the ADM mount for my 2.5-10 (after load development that is)

Thanks, this is my first foray into a large frame AR, and I've always wanted to try an LMT. Local member had one for sale and couldn't pass it up.

The 2.5-20x is probably temporary while I try to track down a 1-8x ATACR or gen3 razor 1-10x for it, but it does balance out well with it.

ETA: ATACR sourced and mount en route.

Which one, the 2.9-20 or the 4-28 and how do you like it? I've been thinking of picking one up, but I wasn't that impressed with the M5Xi.

It’s the M5Xi 3-15x I had a short list of scopes for the 20S and the Steiner wasn’t on it. I had pretty much decided on an ATACR 4-16x42 as the first choice, paying up for a 4-20x ATACR(even though I like the 4-16x turrets more) or up even more for a Schmidt 5-20x ultra short, other less attractive options were the MK5 3.6-18x or Razer Gen II but I really didn’t want to compromise on an illuminated reticle or pay that high of weight penalty. I really wanted a Tremor 3 reticle for this gun so that really limited my options and working backwards from that is what led me to the Steiner. It was significant less expensive than everything but a used razor or the MK5(still a little less than those) and checked almost all the boxes. It was a price I was willing to take a chance at and while there isn’t a lot of info or reviews on than they seem to be well built and well received. It seems like most of the negative publicity is directed at the T5Xi.

The price of the M5Xi was my hangup compared to an ATACR or an S&B. If you were able to get it for around the price of a used Razor, you got it for about what I think they are worth. They are not bad optics, just not at the price of a Nightforce for me.

100% agree. There are a bunch of good scopes out there and value plays a big role at that level. I think the S&B US is unquestionably the best scope, for me, for this rifle but it’s not 2x better than the Steiner. The 4-16 ATACR isn’t far behind the S&B in any metric and is quite a bit cheaper, it was really the scope I was hoping for but other than taller turrets and a little extra length the Steiner isn’t giving anything up and was a few hundred less than even a used one.

Got a chance to hit the range this AM before work. I just went from a 3.5-10x LR/T to the 2.5-8x on the 6.5G Mod-H, I zeroed it with factory 123gr AMAX then finished the box on the 500 & 600yd gongs.

After confirming zero I shot the SCAR 20 successfully out to 1300yds. I didn’t get any hits on the 1400yr target but on my last string I went 2/5 at 1300. I dialed 19mils and held .4 off the left edge. I was shooting M118LR.

After 60 rounds and 2 range trips I’m extremely pleased with that SCAR. The glass on the Steiner is incredible. Next step is to work up some hand loads to mimic the M118LR and try out the 185gr juggernauts I’ve got sitting on the shelf.

I'm about right in the middle of the two peacemakers is a little closer but only by like a half hour, when I was trying to join somewhere I was looking at both. I have family in Carolina and other friends that are members at colemans and Im a member at frontline so it just made a little more sense for me. Never got to make it out to peacemakers but I hear its great. I love colemans though and the staff are excellent as well highly recommend checking it out!

Nothing too fancy beyond the Lilja 16" M4 Navy (SEAL Recce) barrel, free floated within an old Daniel Defense MFR 12.0 modular tube rail and a Geissele SSA-E.  Magpul ACS rear stock.

The scope is a old dedicated target Burris 6-24x50 Black Diamond.  Tall 1/8 MOA turrets and matching 1/8 MOA fine target crosshairs.  Dialing is slow (lots of twisting) but very precise.  Never bothered to "upgrade" because the Japanese glass is quite good.  Scope is QD mounted LT-135 and also serves for load development.

She shoots.

The YHM Phantom FH has been replaced with a KAC M4QD in anticipation of an NT4 can.
