Still needs glass. Wife got me a mega upper and lower set for Christmas. 18"mega barrel, SLR adjustable GB for the can, SLR rail, SD-E trigger.. rest is pretty basic.
Excited to see how it shoots.

LR .308   The 4x25 " Ultralux" seems to be holding up quite well so far for 3-400rnds. It's laid around for years, thought I'd put it to work. So far so good until some real glass comes.

What scope mounts are those? They look like two Aimpoint Pro (or similar) mounts, backwards.

You'd be amazed at what a better trigger in there would do.  IMO the optic should come after the trigger...  Mine is completely revamped and now I really like it.

Is it me, or is that optic mounted way far back?  Not saying it doesn't work for you, but that would be killing me.

After looking at that picture I suspect he has it mounted thus to take advantage of the cheek riser in his stock.

I also suspect, that for better or worse, he does not load his gun at all.

In my experience, with a LMT, an OBR and a M110, the LMT and the M110 liked to be loaded hard. That is, they wont perform as expected unless you shoot it with forward stress on the bipod. The OBR shot better without being loaded. I wonder if the over-gassed system that the LMT uses makes it particular like it has been for me.

Just finished assembling the parts after starting the project 4 or 5 years ago at the introduction of the Super Chicken (SWFA) 1-6 HD scope, purchased at that time.  My local 'smith did the cerakote job on the Anderson lower w/integral trigger guard, recently.  It's sporting a PSA 18" SS, 1in7 twist barrel chambered in .223 Wylde.  PSA lower parts kit, MBT2s trigger, Bravo Company pistol grip (Mod 3, IIRC), Harris bipod, Magpul stock, Raptor charging handle.

Put the first rounds through it today.  Got it dialed in on paper (50yd zero) then was bangin' steel at 500 yds. with Wolf Gold, by the end of the day.  The can is SRT's Shadow Ti XL serving double duty on this and my Savage FLCP-K in .308

I've had the M1A for a few years, love shooting that thing. Best ten shot groups at 100 yards.

Just finished putting together my first AR. And tried handloads at 100 yards (yes I know 3 shot groups don't say much but these were for ballpark axcuracy). Some decent groups in there.

Just getting into the PRS Semi thing. Just picked it up today - been out of town for a few weeks and it had been waiting for me. I threw a 3-9 and ADM mount I had lying around on it (literally), and headed to the range in a massive 50 degree downpour. First few were are expected as a function test, did a quick bore site and dialed it in after ten rounds of 7.62 FMJ Ball  I moved to 100 yards with 168gr Federal Gold SMKs and went a tad under half minute in a 5 shot group, (in the downpour). Guess it works.

What do you guys think for glass? I have a couple of ideas, but would love to hear from this group. Budget will be 2-3k, would like something with a H59 reticle and able to reach to 800. I'm also going to move to a more PRS stock.

5 shot group with the 168 SMK

I'm not sure how I missed this thread.  Here are my Aero M5 6.5 Creedmoor builds.  Back rifle is a 24" Criterion barrel, front is a 26" Kreiger.

Recently I moved to an LT845 mount on the Kreiger setup along with a Radius range finder.

The 24" Criterion got the NF RAP rail added yesterday.  The Radius for it was supposed to arrive yesterday as well, but it got delayed by weather.

Not so far. I only have about 80 rounds through it mostly 140 ELD and AMAX and about 20 rounds of 140 handloads. I just swapped out a Vortex HS-T for the Razor HD today.
I'm going to be testing some 120 loads as I've heard  semi autos in 6.5 prefer lighter bullet weights.Edit :Went out late this afternoon. Only took 3 shots to get centered on paper, then
shot this group and set the zero stop. Next group would have been better if I could hold better,
