The original and 1.5 aren't made any more. You may still be able to find the 2.0 (folding) but they are getting hard to find. Every once in a while you see someone selling one of the older models but not often.

Got the 6.5 barrelled into the chassis and took her out for a test drive this past weekend.  Not too bad out of of the box, first round hits on steel at 480m, 680m, and 850m.

Also had a few other toys out as well.  The 338:

AI AXMC Long action - configured as a 338 in the first pic.

The next are with a 20in 308 barrel and Surefire SOCOM 762.

Optic is an NF ATACR 7-35x56.

Even with the relatively 'short' 20in barrel, it's an absolute laser at 1000 yards. I really have to fuck up in order to miss.

My stick. The two 3 shot groups on the build sheet were the first groups fired for certification and only the 10-16th rounds down the bore. I've only put another 80 through it but have seen 5 shot groups as tight as .097 MOA using off the shelf Federal 168g Sierra Match King BTHP. Old man Landen can flat out build a Remington 700!

Did he chamber the rifle, or is it just from the Remington custom shop? Didn’t notice a barrel brand which left me curious.

To be honest with you I'd be lying if I said I knew. I know the action and barrel were ordered from the custom shop and when I asked why he went with the Remington barrel vs the Rock Creek 1-11.27 he used to use,  he said "because Remington finally got it right". He told me it would be a shooter and that was good enough for me! LoL

I'd been after one of this mans guns since I was about 8 and heard he died some years ago. By complete chance in 2016 I stumbled onto one of his old business cards he had given me decades ago when I would sit behind the booth with he and his wife at gun shows as a child and called the number. Turns out Randy hadn't died, he'd just had some very serious health issues and not sold any rifles for about 7 years. Coincidentally when I reached out he had just finished the 3rd one in that amount of time and said I could have first pick. I drove to London and picked one out.
