I was corrected by another member, that scope in the photo is an S&B 5-25x56 LT (Locking Turret)

The two scopes I have are S&B 5-25x56 MTC MK248 Mod 1 BDC

On the thoroughbred train. I've got Stiller + IMUNS, going for a later Navy mod 5. What are my optic options and where can I find them? I've had no luck on the NF 5.5 and haven't found any PSRs either. Any chance Navy was using anything like an ATACR or something still being made on later mod 5s?

From the practical side of the house, do the xm3. Unless you regularly (weekly, monthly) shoot 1000m then mk13.

300wm isn’t fun to shoot, in costs, or in recoil, I don’t care how big an ol boy ya are. It’s just not fun.

I would definitely say I love both rifles. But, I enjoy my XM-3 a whole lot more.  Its short, handy, deadly accurate to 700 plus with 175's, and cheaper to shoot.  It has the cool factor of less than 55 made and so not a lot of people know what it is.  Every time I bring it, out people are like is that one of your custom rifles and when I respond that it's a Marine Corps Sniper Rifle, they cannot believe it.  As far as obtaining the parts, the XM-3 may be harder to get one or two of the parts as they are no longer made or available, so you would need to get alternatives, which is doable.  Having done an XM-3, if you decide to go that route and need some assistance or just have questions feel free to hit me up. Here is a pic of my M40A5 and XM-3.  Since they both shoot the 175's, and I hate loading through the gate, I made them both magazine fed, same round, same mag, same can.  As some XM-3s were mag fed anyway, my builder-who built them for Iron Brigade Armory, much preferred the mag fed versions.

Chris Higgins at Red Bull Armory is currently taking orders for new Mk13 Mod 7 kits! In order to make this an easier process for customers, he's splitting up the payments for the kits so that it's less of a financial burden up front. Accuracy International requires a minimum order of 50 chassis, so Chris needs to get 50 people to sign up for these kits in order to make this group buy happen. About half of the kits are spoken for right now, so this project is close to becoming reality!

If anyone here wants to purchase a Mod 7 kit, please contact Chris directly, his information is on the attached documents. This will be the last time AI will produce these chassis, so if you want a Mod 7 build this is your chance! Orders need to be in no later than May 31st. Let me know if you guys have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

This is such a smoking once in a lifetime deal. People are reselling the discontinued AI mod7 chassis for up to 2500 alone, and 4 prong 7.62 flash hiders for 500-1k. There is so much value in this kit as well as historical significance when you factor in the individual building this up. If the minimum numbers can't be met on this there will never be something like this offered up again.

Buyers still have to come up with the receiver though correct?

Yes, buyers will still have to contact Stiller for a receiver. Stiller can make them in batches as small as 5 and they can make them whenever they get a few orders, so the receivers are very easy to acquire. Also, you can wait a while to pick up the receiver and finish your build. Chris has storage for everything on his property, so there's no rush to complete the build (no storage fees, time limit, etc.). This allows customers to gradually do their build without any financial strain, it's truly a unique opportunity!

I can post some pics of the lugs later. As for the specs, it's basically a straight side .25" lug. Chris Higgins has some on hand for Mod 5/7 builds, but I highly doubt he's going to provide any detailed specs/blueprints for them. Send your build to Chris and he'll build your rifle to exact specs.

Just picked the last piece for my PSR project, the AAC silencer! Besides the cleaning gear and one barrel, I've successfully put together a complete Remington PSR kit! It took a few years, but it was well worth the wait! I have a ton of spare parts, so eventually I'll reach out to Bartlein and send them an original barrel extension so I can have the final barrel made.

Total for the entire package was about $9,800 and that includes the S&B PSR w/rings and AAC Titan QD silencer. Remove these items and the price for just the rifle kit is $4,450, which is a fraction of the $19,000 price for one of these rifle packages at EuroOptic! Even though it took years to complete the kit, it was much, much cheaper to build from parts.

Receiver - $1,500
Chassis - $1,400
Silencer w/stamp - $1,600
Scope - $3,500
Rings - $250
Barrels, bolt heads, barrel extensions, barrel wrench - $1,000
Atlas bipod - $300
Case - $250
