Does anybody here use N140 for 308/223?

Aside from the fact that it’s a little pricy, how are the results. I know many standby varget, 8208, 4895 etc but I’ve got some n140 as well.

I’m looking to develop a load for a 1:11 twist Lilja ar 308 barrel.

FWIW . . .

CZ-750, 308, 26" barrel. Lapua brass, Winchester LR primer, 167gr Lapua Scenar, ~0.010 off the lands, 43.5gr N140, 2725fps. 3/4 moa from this factory barrel out of my old eyes and hands.

Sako 85 Varmint, 223, ~24" barrel (600mm). Lapua brass, CCI SR primer, Sierra 69gr BTHPM, ~0.015" off the lands. N140, 23.6gr (2719fps), 24.2gr (2807fps). Both loads (and others) test at under 1/2 moa in 3 shot groups with only one 5-shot group at each weight fired also under 1/2 moa. Same old eyes and hands :)

It's also been my powder choice in 6mmAR. Where IMR4064 works well or is known to work well, it's certainly been a very good powder for me.

24.5 grains of N140 is very accurate teamed with 68/69 grain match bullets. I never tried it in .308, but it should perform well there too.

I use N150 in .308.
