Is anyone running a 6mm Creedmoor here? I'm looking for load data, specifically for H1000.

Varget 39.9 grains
Federal 210 M primer C.O.L 2.715" 24" bbl

H1000 is too slow for 6 creed.  You can basically stuff the case full and you'll be around 2900.

So I've been to the range with 3 different powders now.

H1000
Have good accuracy and SD at 47.3 grains.
Velocity measured 2870 on magneto but I figure that will go up a bit once the barrel breaks in. Maybe 2900
I have pushed up to 48.0 grains with no pressure signs. At 48.0 I am out of case capacity.

H4831SC
Accuracy and velocity very much the same as H1000. Have a good node somewhere between 44.0-44.3 grains. However the velocity at that node is still at 2870.
At 44.5, SD jumped by a huge amount (from single digits to 25+) and I am not willing to push further, especially being a gas gun.

H4350
Best velocity by far. 41.8 grains got me over 3000.
Worst accuracy so far, this is shooting in the .7-.9 range whereas the other two shot in the .4-.6 MOA range
I tested from 40.0-41.8. None of them seemed particularly more accurate than the others.

Currently I'm leaning towards H1000 as the powder to settle on. I'm not getting the accuracy I'd like out of H4350, and I know that will wear the bore quicker. I am told from Josh at PVA that the bore will last significantly longer with H1000 than H4350. Most importantly, I have a limited supply of H4350 and I haven't been able to get more so I am saving it for my 6.5 bolt gun.

Since there wasn't a significant difference between H4831SC and H1000, I figure why not go with the slower powder. Especially since I have more of it.

I also have some RL19 but haven't had a chance to try it.

Any other recommendations to try? I'm open to suggestions as I'm not entirely happy with 2900.

ETA: Forgot to mention. Barrel is a 22" JP with rifle +2 gas. I am shooting at sea level. Close enough to the ocean that if I pointed it the wrong way, I would hit water.

     IMO, I would reconsider exactly just what it is you expect out of this rifle.

I would not consider H4831sc or H1000 ideal powders for a 'gas' gun.

Look at your posted data, accuracy node at 2870fps with H4831 and same with even more powder with H1000, same speed and no more capacity with H1k.

I would consider H4831sc the slowest powder I would use in a gasser.

With H4350 you said speed ~3000fps, but accuracy was so so, did you try going slower with H4350? I would bet there is an accurate lower velocity that is faster than the other 2 powders.

Just something to consider.

On a side note, I know a fellow competitor who shoots a 20in gasser in .260 remington and H4831sc. In competition, on his first string of ~20 rounds, rifle shoots fine. 2nd string he starts experiencing
FTE, and FTF's. By the 3rd string he is tearing his hair out clearing jams, and this is in a single feed format. I believe this is happening because his gas system has become clogged with the slower burning powder.

Again, my opinion. I would be interested to see your continued results.

Reloder 16 works well, but will burn like H4350 as far as barrel life goes.  

Went back out with H1000. This time shooting 5 shot groups instead of 3.

Velocity was nothing special. Accuracy was nothing special.

Looking at my H4350 groups, one of them at 41.4 wasn't bad at .6 MOA (5Shot). I'll try loads at 41.3 and 41.5 and see. Velocity was 2950 or so. I'm happy with that.

This is a semi-auto and I'm not expecting bench gun accuracy.

These are 6mm AR speeds, assuming a 105-108gr bullet.

So far in this thread, unless I missed it and am just getting old and blind, I haven't seen a projectile mentioned at all, which is odd.

The whole reason for 6mm CM is 3100fps speed with those BCs for that very low 1000yd-and-in wind drift.

I'm running 107 SMK which feed very well.

I have some loads with 105 RDF and H4350 loaded up for today.

I was hoping to use the 110 SMK but I've been told they won't feed being so long and skinny.

My bolt gun rounds running the 110 are 2.86, with a chamber running quite a bit less freeborn than your standard reamer.  The performance is awesome, but I could see them not playing too nice in a gas gun.

So I've settled on a load with H4831sc. 44.3 gets me to 2950 with a 105 RDF. SD is extremely low but accuracy is only mediocre. .6-.7 MOA.

I may give the 108 ELDs a try since it's more accurate with factory ammo than my reloads.
