Yes, I have some very nice bucks on our deer lease and my farm that I would like to get up close and personal with.

Here is just one of many that we have on camera, I have seen a few that are bigger just haven't smiled for the cameras yet.

Check out this youngster

Too busy to get in the woods opening weekend. Finally made it out yesterday afternoon.
22 yards. That is the entrance wound. Pass through. Ran 75-80 yards and piled up.
I freaking LOVE bowhunting!

Indeed it is. 100 grain 2 blade chisel tip. Passed through and buried about six inches deep into the ground. This is the second deer I've shot with the chisel tip rage and I've been impressed.

tonight I arrowed what I thought was a doe.

ended up being a button buck about 100 lbs.

pic updated to better pic.

I feel bad it was a button buck, but he should be good eating.

i havent had any luck so far this year (missed one a week ago) but my dad got his first bowkill on Friday evening. Average size doe for around here, 80lbs dressed. He shot it with my Tenpoint Xbow and the new Rage xbow dual blade's that use the shock collar instead of the rubber band, they are a HUGE improvement especially for a crossbow.

It was a 35 yard quartering shot that went in low and just behind the ribcage, came out the front just in front of the shoulder. the broadhead cut a massive entry and exit hole and cut through 4 ribs on the exit side, total pass through. the blood trail was ridiculous as is usual with Rage's and the deer went about 70 yards.

[Last Edit: Glennrl58] [#32]
On my second day (Saturday 10-26) hunting a friends private 52 acres I shot a good size doe. It was later in the day and once I got my gear out of the treestand and got myself down, I couldn't follow the blood trail. Got up early Sunday and found her within a couple hours. Gutter her there then brought her home to skin and butcher. Didn't have my bow when I went back to find here so had to settle for a picture in the back yard.

She approached from behind on my left...7-8 o'clock.
Here's a shot of the general direction I took earlier in the day.

Now we'll be looking for these bad boys!!!!

I have 2 of them actually. The first one worked so well I wound up getting a second. However the second one does not seem to work as well. I get a lot of blurry pics, or pics of just the tail of deer, which leads me to believe I'm missing a lot. I have the settings set exactly the same on both so I'm not sure whats going on. The deer in that pic is about 35 (give or take) feet from the camera, and I have pics of deer 50 (ish) feet from the camera so the range isnt to bad. There not bad for a sub 100$ camera, but if you have the money I would say look at the higher end models.

Cull buck taken Saturday evening. It's is my first buck taken with a bow and my third deer with a bow. 21 yard shot but I hit him a little back. Gave him an hour and found him about 150 yards into a thicket.

50-60 pound sow I shot yesterday evening. 23 yards quartering away. Had good blood and trailed it 40 yards. Heard leaves rustle, so I stopped. Heard an oink and breathing, so I backed out until this morning. Found her 5 yards from where I stopped tracking. Liver and clipped one lung.

2013 Late bull Hunt. Took 4 days to get within range of bulls. Never saw the big boy we had hoped (7x7) running around. Maybe someone shot him.

Shot this buck on Sunday Feb 9,2014.  The rut is going strong here in northwest Florida.  He has 11 scorable points...main frame 8 with double split brows and a kicker at the base of a G2.  The shot was 25 yards and he ran prolly 50 yards.  Taken with a Slick Trick Mag
