Scott Silverhorn.  Been shooting it for about a month now and really like the hook design.

We have a weird thing going on here....I just learned we shoot the same arrows and now I find out we use the same release.

ETA: Also learned you use a QAD drop away rest, same here.

Question about the Tru-Fire Hardcore. I want to try the fold back buckle style, but I have skinny wrists. Anyone know if the strap will fit my tooth pick wrist?

How big around is your wrist? I'm not a big guy either and I believe I have my release tightened up most of the way. I'll measure my wrist and check the adjustment on my release and let you know.

My wrist is 7.5" and I have 2 holes left on my release to tighten it up more.

My wrist is about 7 inches around. My local shop doesn't have any of the Hardcores in stock. I'll be near a Bass Pro next month so I hope I can try one then.
I'm shooting a TRU Ball Short and Sweet. It feels ok, I just don't like the velcro wrist strap and the fabric webbing that connects the release head to the wrist strap. I'm wanting a release that is just a more solid and has a more consistent wrist strap.

Allen 153 Caliper. Bought it on a whim at Walmart on clearance. I have one in each bow case now. It's not perfect, but for the price it does the job well.

At some point I should probably upgrade.

This is my first year bowhunting, so I don't have a lot of experience, but I am using a Tru-ball Bandit.  It was cheap, has adjustable pull, and it is quiet.  It has been working well for me.

I'm shooting an old true ball release, I honestly couldn't tell you what model I've had it for so long. It continues to work year after year. Plus, they're made less than 10 miles from my house. Buy Local!

I'm still using the TRU Ball Copperhead I started with in '07. I love that release and I wish I would've bought 2.
I haven't tried a lot of others but I can't get used to anything else that I've tried and I keep going back to the Copperhead.

Scott quick shot was %50 off so I couldn’t pass it up. Just got it today, haven’t shot it yet but it feels 100 times better than the old Walmart special I learned to shoot on years ago.

I just started into the compound bow realm and picked this same Scott release for $9 and a True Fire Smoke for $5. Like them both especially for the clearance price at Walmart !! They will be on clearance again once hunting season is over, grabbed an extra of each at that price

Well, after my wrist surgery makes it too painful to have a strap around my wrist, I've moved to thumb releases. I currently have a 2-finger and a 3-finger Carter Too Simple.

I’ve been trying to find either the Nick 2 it or a Carter Wise Choice. Crazy no one has these. Is there an issue with Carter releases?

Tru Ball Short and Sweet R.  I really like the hook as opposed to the dual calipers I was using before.  I can hook in without having to look down when I see a dear walking in.

I just picked up one of these and so far I love it.  I'm a little dude and I can really get the length down where I like it.  I run my trigger in the swept back configuration.

Truball HBC's, Stan More-X BlackJacks

Crappy picture of my Stan Prefex

Index's are Scotts, that I don't with as often anymore, old duel caliper, an original little goose also have a Talon mixed in there as well as couple of index's and truball bone collector thumb that broke the ice in the handheld world.

I've seen it mentioned that the thumb releases are more "accurate" than the trigger releases.  Are you guys finding this to be true?  Wouldn't the trigger style releases be more intuitive for gun guys?

Likely more of a false sense of enhanced accuracy but there are so many factors that play into accuracy that pinning it down to just being an index/finger wrist strap release is really only a small part of the whole equation.  That said, I prefer the feel of a thumb or hinge in my hand compared to the strap, the anchor for me likely better as well and it is for me it's a little easier to get a surprise shot vs an index release, I also prefer the perceived control of the hand held releases as well.
