...went to the store to find some 45 ammo, wife walked out with this...

I use rifle and shotgun for hunting so this is new for us.

What are some targets you guys recommend? I know the only things she wants to get is a quiver (shoulder she says like from walking dead but from googling I think a hip one would be better) and a sling.

Nice! Bag target for field points and foam targets for broad heads is the general rule.

If you plan on hunting with it, get a couple of crossbow unloading bolts.

They're designed to be shot into the ground to unload the xbow.  Some are biodegradable fire and forget, and others are reusable but you have to go find them.  Either option beats the hell out dry firing, shooting $20 worth of bolt and broadhead at nothing, or trying to unload a bow by hand.

The crank for loading is awesome but very slow. Hand loading can be done but it hurts after a while. Best investment Ive made on mine is the rope pulley system, a little quirky to get it set up but once you do its much faster and safer. That and buy lots of bolts, they seem to fly pretty far when you miss the target
