Intermediate to Advanced Competition Class

Kelly Neal will be the primary instructor for the class.  He has been a sponsored competitive shooter since 1998 competing in a variety of practical shooting competitions.  He specializes in 3 Gun and not has been out of the top 10 in any major 3 gun match since 2000.  His wins include a USPSA Multigun National Championship (Limited Division), Superstition Mystery Mountain 3 Gun (Tac  Iron and Heavy Metal Divisions), the Fallen Brethren 3 Gun (Tactical Scope), the Army’s Ft. Benning 3 Gun Challenge (Tactical Scope and Heavy Metal Divisions), Rocky Mountain 3 Gun (Tac Iron and Heavy Metal Divisions), and the Northwest Multigun Challenge (Tac Iron Division).  He is also the winner of the 1st ever Jeff Cooper Cup and serves as a law enforcement firearms and use of force trainer.  He is currently sponsored by Hornady, Leupold, JP rifles, CZ-USA, 5.11, Viking Tactics, CTT-Training Solutions, and Warne Scope Mounts.

Russell Phagan will be assisting and helping facilitate the class.  Russell has been a competitive action shooter since 2001 and has attended numerous local and national level matches.  Russell was a founder of Trooper division and has multiple wins and top 3 placements in that division.  Russell is a full time instructor for Arizona Security Professionals teaching Armed Guard, CCW, intro competition, and general firearms classes.

The one day practical shooting competition class will focus on 2 areas that both Kelly and Russell see a lot of shooters struggle with: technical rifle shooting and shooting on the move.  The morning portion of the class will deal with rifles zeros, midrange rifle shooting (50 to 200 yards), positional shooting, setups and the management of stage props.  The afternoon portion of the class will deal with the dynamics of shooting on the move (or not shooting on the move) and dealing with the 180 degree safety line.  The class will also discuss stage strategy and how to deal with the various scoring systems (Comstock, IMGA Time Plus, Horner, 2G-ACM) that a practical shooting competitor may face.
