I'm sure this had been asked before but I just sold my CZ 75B and was looking for an SP-01 Tactical to possibly use in competition.  While searching I have come across an older SP-01 Shadow Duo Tone (black and grey) for a decent price.  Has the larger safety and fiber optic/combat sights.
I have never shot in IDPA but from what I understand is it's best to start out in SSP.
So my question is before I buy it, is this a legal gun for SSP?

I don't know the specifics on IDPA, but there's a good section for the on Brian Enos forums. I'd check there.

Shadow is legal for idpa. Shadow II is only legal for USPSA production class
