Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pros and cons of 1/3 cowitness mount for red dot

Let me just preface that I'm not going to be using any iron sights with the red dot. Main reason I want the 1/3 mount is based on my being taller and straining my neck less while shooting.  Any insights into your experiences good and bad would be helpful. I'm looking at getting trijicon mro if that further helps with input.

I think the 1/3 co-witness gives a more heads up firing position, I feel less strain like you, and feel a bit more balanced. I would think it helps your vision also, having your eyes more squared up.
