Agreed. Sucks that youtube is encouraging longer videos and people start running on

Haha.. I hear ya..  I try to make them as quick as possible but when you are putting these videos together a minute goes by very quick.  I just really wanted to share why the AR 15 is a great hog gun.  I'm tired of people saying that the .233 is the wrong rifle for shooting hogs.  To those people I kinda want to say that maybe you aren't a good enough shot to use a .223.. haha!

It was kind of hard to tell for sure but it didn't look like any of them really ran after being shot. Was that the case?

3 of them dropped right away, the other one flopped around in the woods.  He wasn't able to run but had to shoot twice to finish him off.  The last more was more difficult because the shot was through a bunch of trees...

50gr seems more like a varmit bullet, did you recover any of them?

I would be curious if they exploded and how deep they penetrated.

The Hornady Full Boar .223 50 grain is a round designed for hog hunting.  It's a hollow point so it flies fast and create a great impact point.  I recovered all of them.  All headshots had an exit wound, but it was very small.  Body shots typically have no exit wound..

Another benefit to using a .223 is that sometimes a hog hunt turns into a coyote hunt and the Ar-15 is versatile enough to hunt any type of animal with..

Now it's time to add a suppressor.  Wish it didn't take so long to get the permit..

Can you post a pic of the recovered bullet?

It being a GMX I assume it is wicked gnarly looking.

Nice shooting. Ohio doesnt have the hog problem, yet.  5.56 to the head doesnt do anything any good.
