Wow, that thing is a beast!  Doesn't quite look like 800+ lbs but it's hard to say.  Yikes.

Well, my neighbor called.
20-30 smallish pigs/piglets walking up the road right onto my place.
Two walked right besides his truck for about 40 yds before turning in.
Cams go back up when I get home tomorrow and the shotty's come out.

crap.

Oh man....good luck with that.  What strange timing...I checked my camera today and saw this.   Also, my buddy at work mentioned that his neighbor on a few acres he owns called him to say the hogs were showing back up at both of their places.  So he's headed down to his farm (about 2hr drive) this weekend to get after them.  Are all of these groups of hogs communicating? haha

This appears to be the exact same group that was showing up in my OP back on page 1 back in April (shown below)....minus a few of the adults that I took out.

I may need to do that.

Here is what remains of my 60' X 300' runway for my RC planes.
We're fairly well sickened, fuckers coulda at least picked an end so we
could still fly. But no, they had to go right in the middle.

Dang, sorry man that sucks. They tore up my yard a bit too, but not as bad as yours and I don't need it smooth like you do.  I would guess that their fate is sealed now...i think the ultimate payback would be to find a way to hunt them with your RC planes

I only fly fixed wing stuff unfortunately.
But, there are two camera platform quad-rotors coming by this weekend.
Will be daylight only recons due to the cameras they have.
A couple of two-way radios, a Polaris Razor, and some 00 Buckshot.
Should be fun.

I think those arrow tips are called Rack-em-backs if I remember right.

I get all sorts of animals around the house.  Today we watched some fallow, whitetails, blackbuck, and a gemsbok.  Thread about how problematic the gemsbok is.

We haven't had hogs around in a couple of years. I trapped them all, over 500 back in 2010, got it down to 3 boars and finally killed the last one of them last year he weighed 320 pounds.

Yep, Bow-Mag by Rac-Em-Bac.  My FIL makes slingshots, and more recently even sling-bows.  Pretty accurate, but the velocity is just not there to hunt anything but rabbits at very close range.  As gimmicky as those Bow-Mags are I was tempted one time to get some for him to try.  Maybe someday I will.

Those exotics sound fun...but then I read your thread...what a pain.  Pays the bills though I guess.  If you get a chance post more pics of the things you get to see :)   What part of S. Texas?  I'm originally from just outside of C.C.

We build a camera mount like this. You can turn the plate side ways and add a back plate to mount to a steel post. We have saved a few cameras from hogs rubbing on them with these.

We use a camera mount for t posts called T-Mate.  Once you set it up its pretty solid.
