Every year or so I get a hankering for a 5.7x28 in PS90 or AR format.  Is anyone hunting with one, what ammo are you using, and how does it work for you?

I think it'd be sort of neat to have in a bolt action. But I do not have one.

Hunting what?
I wouldn't mind one for backyard varmint elimination.

I wonder if the 5.7 is fast enough for varmint grenades to work as intended?

I've used the AR version on fox and raccoon with a SiCo Sparrow and and a 1x thermal. It's great for small fields and coons in trees. With the 40gr ballistic tips, it's way way better than rimfires. No fur damage. I've also killed some ground hogs with it. 40gr BT works fine. FMJ, not so much unsurprisingly.
