Went to my 110 acre hard woods lease for the first time this year. Managed to convince a friend to let myself and one other in after the last group got out. I have hunted this property maybe 7 times over 5 years.  I went to set up my cameras and found that last years and this years rainfall was very nice to the brush turning it into a jungle again. Luckly the stand I put up was still there.  Unfortunately the railroad tie bridge that has bee there 20 years floated 400 yards downstream in a creek !  I made an attempt to cross a beaver dam and got stuck in river mud. There is no clay or rock base so I began sinking very rapidly. Lucky for me I had two people to help get me out. Im thinking next time I will bring a ladder to cross the 15-20 ftspan.   If no one had been with me  I might have been crawling in the mud for a while.

mud pic and last years first game pic.  The time is wrong on the camera

Damn! I see how that could get you in trouble alone.

Up here in MI it's snow that deep we have to deal with.

I like the cam pics. Seeing a fat cow of a doe gets me just as excited as seeing a big buck. Good eating...
