Last season's deer, two does in about 45 seconds with a Revolver. Both weight ~130 lbs live weight. 
S&W 610 w/ 6.5 inch barrel shooting handloaded 200gr XTP going 1250fps. Carried in a a Gunfighter Kenai chest holster. |

2nd handgun deer, 1st with the 460XVR. 200gr SST Factory ammo, 100 yards. Bullet entered about an inch behind her right shoulder and exited in front of her left hip. Complete pass through.

This wasn’t supposed to be a handgun kill but it turned into a handgun kill. I was carrying my model of 1911 as a backup. Using my AR10 LR-308, I shot high nicking the top of the back bone. That is the entrance hole from the 308 150gr SP, I almost missed. Deer went down, I went to check on my deer, got within 150 feet from deer, deer jumped up and went to run away, I drew my 1911, knocked the right antler off with first shot, took a little better aim lights out, put the second 45acp 230gr JHP in the back of the deers head. Blood around left antler base of right antler and out infront of right eye.
